My favorite first cousin when I was growing up got into heroin in her early 30s. She was my role model as a child. Always got good grades, ended up with a nursing degree. Got in a car accident and got hooked on pills for her back. Graduated to heroin and started stealing anything she could. Was in and out of jail and rehab for 5 years. Then the last time she went to rehab something clicked and now she's been clean for 9 years. Went back to school and got a criminal justice degree while raising two kids and had another one in her last semester. Opioids just take over your life to the point where that person isn't the person you used to know, but a vessel for the pills. People that have never been addicted to anything could not begin to imagine what it is like needing to shoot up just to not be sick.

I hope Izzi figures it out and mends relationships with those he has let down. There is life after addiction and all of the struggle is worth it when you finally get that person back to normal and into your life again.

Good for him if that is the case. Drugs are a disease that does not descriminate. If he is on the right path and has a grip on things then moto on brother. I have never been addicted so I can't throw stones at someone that was.

You don't make parole with active warrants in other states.

I'll try to make this short. 15 years ago the wife was a janitor at local school. Idiots dropped a 300 lb desk out of a truck on her head. Spine crushed top to bottom. Workers Comp doctors kept upping her meds til she was on more morphine and fentinel than a millionaire junky could afford.

Needless to say, she was a psychotic monster. We didn't know why... menopause maybe? I mean, surely doctors wouldn't do this to her.

Many surgeries later and she's on the bare minimum by her own volition. Mostly bed ridden and our retirement frolics are not gonna happen but she's mostly her old self mentally.

Izzi was a bit of a turd before opioids but that shit is the devil fellas.

If he was (back) trustworthy I would try to gather 4K to make him race some little local Dutch Supercross. Just to blow everyone out of the water. On my wish list is Izzi, Stroupe, Sanayei, Gavin Faith (is he still racing?), Josh Hayes, ... Some of the old AMA AX guys!

Ok. He must have found a way to work out his warrants in Arkansas, California, Georgia and Wisconsin while incarcerated in Michigan.

They secretly stopped basing hospital reimbursements on subjective pain control, so that's a start. It was part of the Affordable Care Act and it basically kick started the opioid epidemic
I was floored when our pain control protocols flipped. I was a fireman and still had my PM license. This pain control thing was crazy. We would have an injury on football field and find a young man with a blown knee. In the past we would maybe splint the leg and send him off to the hospital. When the protocol changed we had to give him morphine to any one with anything 4 and above on a 1 - 10 pain scale. I saw tons of sports and accident injuries, knees, ankles, shoulders, broken collar bones etc. where we just stabilized and send off to the hospital. We came to find out that these people got more and more opiates to manage pain. It was really noticeable what was going on in society after that. It wasn't a bunch of stereo typical junkies overdosing anymore.

Yes, in the Michigan case where he beat the shit out of a woman, assaulted the judge, and fled on foot out of the courthouse, he was sentenced to 2-5 years and paroled on 6/27/22. There must have been a deal to immediately report for the California case where he has to answer for possession, assault with a deadly weapon, and stealing from an elder caretaker.

Don’t point out shitty things people have actually done on here. Your posts will magically disappear…

I am confused. How is he racing in Ca when he was arrested for that 30 days ago?

I remember meeting Nico for the first time over 20 years ago I would say. At High Point maybe could have been Steel City? Him, one of the gosselars and some other little kids were going around collecting rider's gear and selling it. My friend and I actually scored some stuff (gear not drugs!) that day from him. Man, the time since has been rough for him.

Looks like upon his release in Michigan on 6/27 he was immediately arrested, thrown on a prisoner transport to California, and booked in Riverside County on 6/28. Someone bailed him out on 7/13.

He probably got clean while in jail, did some working out and got out feeling better than he had in years. So he jumps on a bike and does some shredding. I hope he can keep going with a renewed look on life, Wish him nothing but the best.

Don’t think Aldon takes that sort of commission 😂
