Anyone know why he did not line up? Could not get the bike fixed? Great ride in the first half of the first moto.

If the bike can’t handle red bud and they couldn’t get it fixed I’d be worried about southwick. Maybe not too long before his wife starts freaking out again

Haha. When I saw him pull of in the first moto my first thought was how long until his wife mouths off about the bike and team

He actually pulled off the first moto because he was a bit tired and afraid of his wife getting upset over the increased danger. Still a little tired before moto 2 so she told him to call it a day.

The bike was knocking really bad when he pulled off first moto. Must not have had a spare engine.

Sheeesh!! Some of you guys are harsh. The motor was completely done. Firepower has never ran a 450 , especially outdoors. They are an indoor 250 AX team , trying to get their feet wet. Give them some time , they'll get it figured out. When the bike was running , Max looked great on it , for his first race back I thought.

Agreed.
If he keeps putting up solid rides, maybe HRC will step in with some of their expertise...

I sure liked what I saw from him in that first moto. Good on Max knowing when to pull off before the bike gave up on the face of the leap.

Do they allow the teams to have a second bike, or doesn't work like that

Not picking an argument my man, but they said most of what Jeffro did on the broadcast, so if anyone wasn't aware of the facts before hand they probably should have been by then 👍

Just bad luck really, if F1 / MotoGP engines can grenade after the unmatched resources, R&D, analysis and electronic safeguards poured into those then nothing's safe, was just good to see Max going so well before the issues and hopefully the team know where the weak links are for next time after this tear down.

There not a 250 ax team. I think your confusing phoenix Honda and fire power Honda. They were muc off Honda in 2021 with Justin Brayton. However this was there first go at a outdoor with a 450.

Even the best teams have mechanicals. This team is experienced, especially with 450s so whatever the issue I’m sure they are all over it.

Experienced in mechanicals especially look at their 2021 season in SX. 450’s and 250’s blew up multiple times in SX

I don't know much about the team but this is absolutely not the first mechanical they have had. Some of them resulted in heavy crashes

Mechanical in Australia to their red plate holder Webster resulting in 2 broken feet after it blew up on the up ramp while training

From what I understand and have been told, it is a clutch issue the team are struggling with on the 450's. Max was looking great out there in Moto 1 before it went tits up. Be good to see him come out swinging next round.
