There was a guy that owns 160 acres between the north and south bound lanes of the 5 fwy, just north of Castaic, that tried to open a MX Park about 10 years ago. We did sound checks with 100 bikes on a make shift track and he spent a couple hundred grand trying to get thru the red tape.
The end result was he would have to build an exit on both sides of the property, which would be several millions. This ended any chance of him getting the track open.
JS63 seems to still be in progress but the latest I've heard is Prado might be dead in the water.
Little math and good weather goes a long ways…
Pit Row
It's won't be the popular option here as everyone here would like to see new tracks open (including myself ) But I am in the land development business and I can tell you first hand, NEW tracks in So Cal.have little chance of opening and turning a profit. Simple math is all you need.
Pala opened on Indian land, so that's another story. I have no clue how that works.
