As an ESPN analyst once said, “the worst thing that can happen for a sporting event is that the outcome can be determined well before the event is over”. One of the Lawrence bros is walking away with the championship. It’s been 1 round and I don’t place anyone else better than 50:1 odds.

Like I said elsewhere.
It's going to be a long season, as everyone out there will be battling for 3rd place.
Guess he saw the writing on the wall, and figured fix things right, and put his hopes on 2023 SX.
So he crashed at Pala? I didn't see it but he was definitely off the pace from what I expected. When he came back to SX he looked almost like his old self but at Pala I was very underwhelmed.
Dude wants to move up to 450's so bad but can't even put together a whole 250 season. I'm a huge Forkner fan but damn dude Mitch only has so much patience.
I really feel bad for Mitch too. Dude signed 5 riders but can't keep more than 2 on the gate for more than 1 race.
I mean, you can't help but feel for the lad. Came out of the gate whacking everyone in SX but could not keep his testosterone in check and kept trying to set the fastest time by like a minute. The kid was blazing fast and still is but this time off keeps adding up and each return gets harder and harder. I really hope he can find a way back and compete for an entire series. Have to credit Mitch for staying with him-nothing but loyal. Nice to see.
another season down the drain.. and people really out here saying he has matured.

I don't know if a crash like that has anything to do with his maturity. Things like that happen. For some guys, it happens a lot more but again it's hard to say that it is from being immature unless he is out clowning during the races.
As far as PC goes, is there anything that would really point to PC being somehow at fault for his injuries? Wouldn't they have just as likely have occurred anywhere?
I get the feeling of disappointment, but some riders are just snakebit it seems and end up with 'Reynard Syndrome' where no matter how fast they are, they just can't stay healthy. Forkner appears to be one of those guys.
What a bummer. AC, Forkner, Reynolds is the latest to start with the injuries. Hopefully when Ryder turns pro he doesn’t start the same way. Sport is better when everyone stays some what healthy.

They’re largely incentive based contracts at PC right? Maybe that has something to do with it.
Damn, that sucks for him. It's been non-stop. Whatever it was he was riding through the pain pretty well because here's a shot I got of him bar dragging in Moto 2
I agree a completely new program is probably what's best for Forkner, just a change of scenery. I'm not blaming the team, his program, or anyone in his corner, sometimes you just need a fresh start.

Yep, green is not working for him so it's time for a change of color.
He crashed prepping for outdoors before Pala and tore his labrum from what I was told. A crash at Pala probably didn’t do him any favors. With that being said going 6-6 with the circumstances wasn’t terrible.

This was from pala looks like a really awkward crash. Any seen a video of it?

I am not shocked.
80HP electric bikes will only make it worse…
I’d like to see the injury rate from the 80s and 90s
