Ok rant here.

Only 10 k plus subscribers total on MAV TV? 2.2 rating? And 3 races not shown on MAV TV?

Hello MX Sports ate yiu listening? You got do better to get people like me to sign up. I've been racing nonstop since 1977 and around the sport since 1971.

I could do it if all the races were on MAV TV, but they are not. I have no cable. I live in The middle of nowhere in Chesterfield, SC. I'm not paying for a half hearted attempt for a live event package that doesn't show all the races.

This is no way to grow the sport of outdoor MX.
If you can't get me or most of the other enthusiasts to sign up ( gotta be more than 10 k enthusiasts
but I'm sure not all 10k are there for MX) your gonna be in trouble next year when the world SX stomps your but. Sorry, but this is the outdoors last hurrah if things don't change and make a better package.

I'll just wait till my wife hears from the Club MX team what happened. And wait for a YouTube showing.

End of rant

All the old timers that love banging on about the good old days are going to be pumped because we can read about the race and maby catch a couple of pictures instead of just watching a half decent stream live like like you can with pretty much every other sport these days.

I can assure you MAVTV Plus has more than 10k subscribers lol. Much more.

You realize that NBCSN went away right? Meaning there wouldn’t be a home to air motocross live for 3-5 hours on a Saturday on any network? It was already not live all the time on NBCSN.

You don't have to download it.

I think it's going to cost me like $20 to use MavTV for the summer. Plus the motos will be on demand if I miss them live. Aren't the rounds that are not on MavTV going to be on NBC, a channel that doesn't even require a cable package?

Who really gives a shit how many people have downloaded the MavTV app? Is that why you're watching?

I just signed up in about one minute on my laptop and used the code for half price so a staggering $3.50 for the first month. I can watch it on my Apple TV, phone, browser etc. I can watch qualifying and who cares about the three races you cannot watch live because a major network still wanted the show. Either find a way to watch NBC, or wait for the replay which will likely be up shortly after.

So u goto the google store and assume mavtv have 10k subscribers.
1st. I think they go 10k+, 50k+ 100k+. So on google it's between 10 and 50k. Then u have Apple, then u have ppl on Web browser only. And I don't know if TV's use the same store. So no idea how many subscribers there are but your way off if your using that as your count.

You’re really showing your age. That number is only relevant to that android App Store downloads. That doesn’t account for people who watch it on a web browser, have it pre-installed on their smart tvs, have it through cable or satellite tv, have it on streaming services, or people who have it downloaded on the apple App Store. That number isn’t total downloads for people who have mavtv.

I’m not a fan of the Mavtv either but that was a lame attempt at trying to bash mx sports when you clearly don’t understand the numbers. DOH!Blink

Yeah, I’m not going to pretend to know what goes into getting the outdoors on tv but I’ve said before that some people who grew up racing but who just want to sit down and turn on the TV (like my dad) gave up trying to watch the Nationals years ago. I know guys on here that are older are obviously more tech savvy than people like my dad who spends zero time online but he’s still a fan who always bought bikes, showed up to race, and fostered that love for moto in his kids.

We got a new smart TV. I spent about an hour looking for MAVTV, found it and tried to sign up but couldn't remember our google password. Finally found it after a few attempts, then it wouldn't take it, said it was wrong. Had my wife try to change the password, that didn't work for some reason, already an acct with a different e-mail or password or some shit I don't know. With this new tv we have HBO, Cinemax, Showtime Paramount and Paramount Plus, Peacock and Peacock Plus, Disney and Netflix and Youtube, Hulu and Zulu and Wazoo and who knows wtf else, there's tons of them, all kinds of shit I've never even heard of,..... but not the one I want. Nope. That one somehow didn't make the list, cost more money, and when I try to sign up it's a total frustrating pain in the ass. I guess I'm like your Dad cause FUCK THIS SHIT. I give up. I just want to turn on the TV, pick a channel and watch the stupid race.

That number refers to the app and as others have pointed out only on one download sight.

It doesn’t include all the homes that get Mavtv on cable.

Holy shit man are you kidding me. The races haven’t even started yet and it’s not good enough for you. 6 bucks a month to watch the races. Good on MAVTV

Call us grumpy for having a downgrade in coverage and being told how grateful we should be. I just want to watch the whole race, man!

To the people in this thread(and their next of kin) that find it "too difficult" to get MavTV Plus working and "just want to sit down and watch the damn race", I have a few questions:

1. How did you secure the loan to buy your house?

2. How did you plug in your TV?

3. Did you graduate from High School?

4. Were you able to obtain a drivers license?

..It blows my mind how people have survived long enough to make it to 40, 50, 60 years old but can't figure out(or don't want to exert the mental capacity) to sign up for a streaming service.

This sport will never grow when all the races are behind pay walls. The races should be shown on a free service and then have a subscription for a gold package

I've been able to watch every moto live uninterrupted by commercials for over a decade, now not all are live, and we're getting mid moto commercials.

Blah blah blow me. I’ve been self employed since 1980, employ 3 people and own a 3 bedroom house in San Clemente, not bad for a clueless dipshit. Further investigation this morning brought up this screen that says “Sorry Cox communications is currently not offering MAVTV Motorsports Network in your area” “Please feel free to contact them and DEMAND MAVTV” So clue me in with your vast knowledge, what should I try next ?

Sign up for MavTV+ though the web on a computer, use the Racer X discount code, download app to phone or tablet and then cast to a TV that has capability.

I was able to cast from app to an older TV I have setup with a Chromecast.

Honestly, setting a password for the MavTV account was the most aggravating part lol
