This new chapter Kenny is writing is alienating even some of those die hard fans of his. This isn't about recovering from those injuries. This is about...wait, we don't KNOW what this is about. Was it the sickness after San Diego? Was it/is it EBV?

Kenny is yelling from the rooftops at all the "haters"...all while the haters are mostly just saying dude we don't know what's really going on. If he wants to communicate on social media, how about ACTUALLY communicating useful info instead of yelling at the sky.

He's acting like if he wins Pala he's going to be boo'd. He won't. He'll be celebrated by almost everyone. But then we'll all wonder when he's going to leave the series, then we'll wonder exactly why. It's going downhill fast....

This is how this goes…

Kenny wins round 1, maybe even round 2…but as soon as he doesn’t win, the wheels come off…and keep going until he drops out…he only knows how to do ‘alpha dog’ shit…not hero shit like dungey used to, like Webb has done in sx several times…he only knows win or fail…tough life to live…

look at the history. It doesn’t lie, you can downvote it all you want but that’s doesn’t make it untrue.

What hero shit has Dungey done? Only time I can remember is that one time at Southwick his bike wouldn't start then rode like hell to salvage positions. Other than that he's just been fast and consistent. Always at the top like Villo.

Tomac and Stew on the other hand...

Only one possible explanation for this-he has the long term Covid. I don't have the gram, no twitter, no tic tok, haven't checked my Facebook account in like 10 months or whatever-it all takes up so much bandwidth in one's life. I don't feel like I am suffering any. Like previous people have said, follow the art of war strategy, let sleeping dogs lie, come in under the radar, under promise and over deliver.

When Kenny is on, he one of the best riders we have ever seen. Some of his rides look like a Sunday putt and he blows by everyone. He doesn't have to be that every weekend, but he does have to be there every weekend. Otherwise it will be a rinse and repeat of the past few years.

contract extension time going poorly? They have Jett and or Hunter to take his spot and Sexton with Hymas to take Jetts/Hunters spot... talks with other teams not good? Teams telling him no? Redbull saying no more? Sounds like a bitter post to me, gonna try to prove everyone wrong this summer is what I'm reading. I dont think this was reference to the fans of the sport.

His post was kinda weird but honestly I just really hope to get a full season of Kenny competing for wins purely because I want to see some great battles up front and we all know he has the ability. With Tomac, Anderson, Dylan, Dungey, AC coming over, Sexton, maybe Mookie. I'd love to see all these guys fighting up front after having such a depleted field in SX.

back in the day if RJ (or any other rider) had social media then do you seriously not think he would be using it just like every other racer these days, not just Roczen?

I like his passion, it's a shame a lot do not...regardless if it is ranting against those on social media, but using social media to rant...so what, how else does he get his message across...pigeons?

He doesn't have a point, he has words. That's all. The POINT will be if he backs it up this time and finishes a series. OR if he pulls out of the series, give a REAL transparent reason why.

No he doesn't owe that to us, BUT when he's going to go off like he just did, he's kind of making OUR point.

Honestly, I don't really see people 'slam him' and I don't really see many haters.

Mostly, I just see people frustrated or plain confused that while he IS an awesome rider and he HAS honourably triumphed over his injuries, but he is now fading or pulling out of the way or even canning championships halfway through, while not being transparent about why. Even though most of us here say fair enough and we would rather he got healthy and happy and then came back and most respect and support his choices but, all of a sudden it's "fuck the haters, blah blah whine...".

It's just weird.

I'm a fan, but it's hard to imagine a high-profile professional athlete in most other sports making such a post. But the man's history indicates he's able to back up those words. Maybe he's motivating himself- the guy is an insanely good rider.

I’m pretty neutral on Roczen. Not a huge fan, but no hate and I very much respect him. This post screams mental weakness to me. Ken needs to worry less about social media.
