Not a great start for Stark…

Just got an email from them… Over promised on delivery dates

“ Due to the current situation in Europe we will be postponing the delivery dates of the Stark VARG for orders originally scheduled for delivery between September and January by one to three months. In the coming days an updated delivery date will be shown on the order confirmation page of the Stark Future website for those affected. Stark Future is working hard to keep the delivery delays as minimal as possible.”

Not unique to Stark. Everything in my work and personal supply chain (dirt bikes/bicycles) was getting worse and impacted before the Ukraine war, now it's going to be worse.

This happens all the time in many different marketplaces. PS5, Steam Deck, Cybertruck, F-150 Lightning, etc. It doesn't ,mean much. I hope this bike can deliver on the track and is the next step in the future of E-MX.

I agree the future is Electric 100%. Difference between stark and the other companies you mentioned, is that stark is brand new. The others are established companies with other products to keep the company running. Stark is just bleeding cash until the bikes are delivered

Tesla was a new company once and it took them years for their first car to come out. Amazon was bleeding cash for 20 years before turning a profit. I don't know if Stark will make it or not, but I'd rather try to be positive about a new brand coming into our small sport.

Bear in mind the costs of the raw materials for the bike will have at least doubled, and the battery stuff has gone up 6 fold.

When (if) they come , they arent going to be cheap , when they wernt cheap anyway .

Yep. Its taken me 9 months to get 3 Rangers for our fleet, still don't have them, just the VIN's which means they are close now.
No eta on F150's and F250's.
The Class 8 truck I have on order is minimum 52 weeks out and the 6 stationary genset I am going to order on July 1st in the kVA we need are 90 to 120 weeks out.
This morning, I read that Tesla may stop taking orders for a while due to supply chain issues.

If Stark is only 3 months behind good for them, that's nothing these days.

If FMF was(and still is) 6-10 months behind orders taken in and didnt even took new ones... 3 months is nothing.

Ford, Tesla...they can afford to be 52 weeks behind...can Stark afford to be 3 months behind? I don't know how deep their VC/owners pockets are?...I assume, like any start up, they were planning to run at a loss for some time in the beginning...but I don't think they anticipated not being able to deliver bikes on time...Stark may very well end up another casualty of the pandemic.

Well, EMX is certainly helping the case for Stark. Just opened Pre-Orders for their Yamaha based E-Bike. 40HP, and $20,000!!

Edit, Thats 40 BHP. Which after a quick google, is the HP before any losses. So does that mean its actually less than 40??

Sounds like you have plenty of time to decide on which generator to buy. Maybe pool together with some buddies and get a wheeled diesel unit that can charge a bunch of them at once.
