It’s a shame that the media has put too much emphasis on his struggles, because it’s caused some unneeded hate from people who tend to jump on the bandwagon. I like Christian Craig and am happy that he was able to get this championship. But as others have eluded, I’m a little tired of the story. That’s really not his fault, IMO. But make no mistake, he had some serious hurdles to get over.

They did hype up the whole Christian Jett thing though. I don't think he wanted anything to do with all that nonsense.
That’s a BIG part of what he’s been dealing with, I can’t imagine not having a good relationship with my parents.
I truly wonder how CC feels inside, he should have challenged himself and stayed in the 450 class.

With as much "comeback kid" the media AND the Craig's are pushing, you'd think he'd be willing to sacrifice some things to make it in the 450's.
Seems to me he wants the cushy Star ride and all it comes with, or else I have no doubt he could have found a 450 ride. If not, maybe there is still something else behind the scenes keeping him from that.
I've mentioned it before, but other than his deal with Rockstar Husky next year, he hasn't been on a TOP level team without some sort of backdoor connection.
Christian and Paige seem like decent people, but undoubtedly part of the problem most people have with this whole thing is how vocal they are about how hard it's been.
People keep bringing up Friese (who up until this year had been 450) and others who are the same age, but the one thing obviously lacking in those comparisons is they aren't on YouTube and social media EVERY SINGLE WEEK making sure everyone knows just how difficult it is to be a highly paid professional athlete.
All that being said, obviously I'm not a Craig fan, but I can still appreciate what it meant to him and Paige when you see the reaction last night.
Seeing the success of both Christian and Jeremy is one of the coolest stories of the sport right now. There was no gold road paved before them.
I'm with you man, you can respect his title and what it clearly means to them, and still be turned off because of how it's all communicated.
I do respect the opinions of Langham and Regis, knowing they are good dudes with some perspective on part of the picture not all of us know about.
I guess what most of us would prefer is if Christian just put his head down and did it without all the attitude and entitlement undertones.
