If you try to richen the bottom of the thread jetting from the 1st page it switches to a rich burbble of bottom with no inbetween. I tried the jetting I listed and run the idle jist high enough that it will pull clean if you rip the throttle open fully on the stand from idle. The bike MUST be fully warm. This is after its warm and the air screw adjustment srill comes into play. (using the actual idle adj screw for the slide, not the air screw) Keep going back and forth with the AS and idle till you get the lowest idle (its still going to be elevated) and the bike will still pull clean on the stand. Also it starts first kick , or one press of the magic button, when hot or stalled too. Like I said, try it, what do youbhave to lose. My jetting recommendation was from a local large ktm shop that sees a lot of these bikes.

Just riding up and down the street
Seriously. I love learning. Please explain. Is this some two stroke wizardry stuff??
Having the problem with bog from idle with the 22 bike.
I rebuilt the crank on the new bike at 1.5 hours. Safety for my son. So crank is not the fault.
tried different pilot jets, no good
Saw that the hoseclamp to airbox, doesnt work perfect. threads locks before you get a tif fit.
Could it be cdi unit ?
Anyone tried the old cdi to the new bike ?
For the hose clamps, they get sticky and rickety. I put a few drops of graphite lube on the threads to keep them moving smooth.
Bike don’t bog quick throttle , as almost all in.
Bike runs crap on idle
If I set as perfect clean idle it bogs
I'd like to hear Dirtdemon do a direct swap from a known good bike to a problem 2022 in a direct, back-to-back fashion to put some sense to this 2022 issue.
Pit Row
No bog, runs like the old 2020.
It was 8,5 hours since I ate lunch.. so I forgot to check float height of the two carbs. Maybe the key to all this
Both have JD jetting o-ring and gasket.
Do Mikuni have two production plants ??
So, this one case would seem to suggest there is something going on in the 2022 carb. They changed the carb design? They had a bad batch production run, poor quality control?
In addition to checking/comparing the float heights, I'd also do a good side-by-side visual inspection. See if there is anything noticeably different in the carbs.
At least we know it’s not crank related which is good news!
Ultrasonic cleaner ?
Bad gas from factory ?
2)
cast problems ?
3) float height ?
4) ?
Race this weekend so don’t have time to compare them off the bikes
#5 slide no notch
All the other jetting is the same as on the first page that digger wrote up.
Novice level mx and sometimes single track.
TC250 2017
Stock slide, stock needle jet.
Currently 440 MJ, 42,5 PJ, 6BFY43-73 - 2nd from top.
I did look for 5.0-5.75 slides and S4 needle jet+needle and jets.. but seems costly if not 100% sure how it work
