Pure speculation- is there any chance Tomac hurt his knee/hip/groin/something last week and is covering up an injury?

In ET's Atlanta heat race, right after he got all huckabucked in the whoops, he washed out in that flat turn and his leg went out sideways. I immediately thought, oh no, I hope he didn't twist his knee. Since then he seems to have turned it down a notch. I hope I'm 100% wrong and he's just riding to protect the championship, but I know injuries are also weirdly kept a secret in moto. I'm a big ET3 fan and can only hope that he's healthy so he can show those euro boys what's up this summer haha
I think everyone needs to take their downvote away from this...you called what you saw and I respect that

It's not so much that they're drama queens, it's just that this thread is stupid

Eli looked pretty good in that heat race and for the first few laps of the main. Don’t know if some knee fatigue/pain was starting to set in or if he was just trying to cash it in without a mistake and cruised back to 5th and settled. We have a few weeks until outdoors so hopefully he can get it healed up in time!

He won’t be there if he’s nursing an injury. He’ll rest for the outdoors.

I think his knee looked pretty darn good today. He will be there and break Chad's record.

Would rather see him rest for the outdoors, going to be good if he is healthy

If I was him, I'd skip next week and get ready for the Nationals.

The first couple of laps during the Atlanta main event put him too far back to challenge for a win, but he picked it up and eventually was putting down fast laps. He was quick in the heat at Foxborough as well. I know he didn't win it, but he kept Sexton, who obviously has been flying, within a couple of seconds. His speed is still there, he just hasn't been in race situations that have easy paths to a win, so he's decided to not risk anything by charging through the pack. I don't blame him either, imagine if he tried to challenge for the win at Foxborough after stalling his bike and ended up wadding up and hurting himself... we would've all wished he just rolled around in 7th.

In conclusion, he seems to be riding perfectly fine when he's actually trying, and I highly doubt he has any sort of injury.
I said Dungey wouldn't come back a couple days ago... wrong.

I also said Tomac wasn't hurt... wrong.

I'm on a pretty bad streak. Good job OP.
