Max's dad was fucking the young KTM Manager, knocked her up. Max was getting things other riders weren't. Max's dad (Merv the perv) was taking parts/bikes for other riders, selling in Europe and on Ebay. Black-balled from the sport ever since.

Yeah I remember that! I believe Max's dad was in relationship with Suzuki manager. I think it came down to fists thrown between Jason and Maxs dads.

Spitballing here but if they bring back AC next year, maybe they keep Joey on as a 3rd rider knowing that it's likely AC will miss some rounds? Would make sense if AC gets a lower base pay and Joey is probably relatively inexpensive as well.

It seemed like after he left Kawi there was always some amount of implied bitterness. Joey made it seem like he was somehow fucked out of that seat. Most people (I think) seemed to see that he was a pretty obvious seat warmer, common knowledge it was only a 1 year deal and Adam was moving up.
