Why would anyone pay $99 annually when you can pay $7 per month? I feel like I’m missing something
Probably because the limited time price will bounce about the time live events like MX starts flowing.
6.99 isn't going anywhere, it's been there for years. Some of there events are only streamed with the 100/year package

It’s being advertised as a special deal to get the mx nationals for 6.99

I went to MavTV's site. I live in a rural area and the speed of my internet connection is seldom more than 7 mbps and they say a minimum is 10 with 20 preferred. Guess I am stuck with live timing and Youtube highlights. Anything I can do?
I was in the same boat, paying $350 a month for 7 mbps and 500g cap. Now I have starlink, 175-300 mbps, unlimited data and it’s $99 a month!

Imagine having used Netflix and then someone comes along trying to convince you how going back to VHS tape is the way to go.

Peacock app is to Netflix as MavTv app is to VHS tape.

We are now less than two months out from the season opener. DC, or anyone else, has there been any decision on if the MavTV subscription will cut away during the live broadcasts to go to commercials, or will they handle it like the Peacock subscription did where they kept the live racing while the broadcast feed broke away for commercials? I don't mind paying for a subscription if there is no cut away but will just watch the broadcast feed on Directv if the subscription is just going to cut away. Thanks for any update on this

HD or non-HD? I get MavTV for free with my Samsung TV but it's in standard definition. It's almost impossible to watch MX without High Def. at this point in technology.

Pro MX does not appear to be available on Samsung TV. According to their website MavTV looks like it has 3 "versions", MavTV Plus, MavTV motorsports, and MavTV Select.

At this link MavTV says that Pro MX will be on motorsports or plus. https://www.mavtv.com/shows/
At this link I confirmed (Because I have Mav on Samsung TV and Pluto TV) that Samsung TV is only the "Select" channel, so no Pro MX. Scroll to the bottom.

If putting on commercials can subsidize the cost of what they have to pay for MAV to show the races they will. That’s just good business for everyone except the track. I think the track holding the event should ask for a percentage because it’s their site the race is on and unless compensation they can’t film on their property. That’s just good business for them.
Today’s world is about making money.
I doubt they are paying Mav to air the races, I’m pretty sure Mav TV and Lucas Oil are affiliated companies.

So I have MavTV select on Samsung tv plus. I can watch the races there?
Edit: just saw a couple posts up that's a no?

Lol. And therein lies the problem. SMH. How good could the production be if this is the approved business model. Lol.

Anyone up here in the great white north, know if we can sign up for the MAVTV Plus, or is it off limits to us Canucks?

Good info. So will MavTV Plus broadcast in HD?

@Maverick - tell me more about "its available in Canada"....I have zero confidence due to interactions I have had with their "chat/email" support. Has new information been shared?

I will be crushed if I cannot watch my favorite sport in the world (and I am a Leafs fan)

Thanks

I got an email from of MavTV Plus that said that the majority of their content is available worldwide.

It also mentioned that due to content rights agreements certain programs are only available in the US, but that any show that is not available outside of the US will be noted.

As you can see, the MX Nationals are available for viewing.

thanks for reply. I sure hope so.

@DC - I know you kind of keep on eye on this when you can. Any insight you can provide?

I will wait a couple more weeks and see what we can learn before I sign up.

Yeah, I'm still waiting to see if it's going to be commercial free or not. If it's not, I'll just subscribe to the TV channel.

I, of course am hopeful there will be commercial free motos, but I fear the silence on the matter is telling that it won't be. IMO commercial free motos would be a huge selling point in getting "new" subscribers, and the fact that that is not listed anywhere doesn't bode well. I sincerely hope I am wrong though.

Pretty much this, Doesn’t bode well.. I will also let you all know if there is any pros to signing up for the annual cost… I’d much rather have just paid the 7$ a month currently for the length of the nationals… because their content is not current and it’s frustrating.

Man, Outdoor MX Nats are quickly coming. I need to know what up for all (but selfishly us Canadians).

I will sign up in a second if it is like Peacock, or even NBC Gold from past. They both were well done and provided what folks needed...ie. Ability to watch when they want or live.

DC, please let us know the latest.
