Here's a dumb one.
Bullets rise after leaving the muzzle.
Why is this a thing?
Because if you sight your rifle at 100 yards and you start shooting at a 50 yard target you'll find that you are shooting high. The bullet must be rising because I haven't changed anything.

No it is physically impossible for the bullet to rise, in fact it starts to drop the moment it leaves the muzzle. Gravity is king.

So why does my rifle hit at 100 and 25 yards, but is 2 inches high at 50 yards? It's line of sight.
It's weird but your bullet isn't rising miraculously.
It’s parallax. Your eyes have it too. Put a finger in front of one eye and look at it with both eyes. The eye with the finger looks straight ahead, the other is looking sideways.

You can calibrate your optic to be parallax free if you feel like it, but it’s not common.

Parallax has nothing to do with the bullet. It is all in the optic. Its kinda like a focus on a camera, but not really. If your parallax isnt set right the crosshairs "move" around downrange as you head position moves, thus you would have to have the EXACT same cheek weld and head position every time or the optic will not be accurate. Once the parallax is set properly you can set the rifle on a rest with the crosshairs on the target, and without touching or moving the rifle, move your head anyway you want and the crosshairs will stay on the target. Its kinda hard to explain in words but super easy to demonstrate in the field. The parallax is adjustable because it needs to be changed depending on the distance to your target. Optics without parallax adjustment are set to be parallax free at a given range, get too far off that given range and the parallax is off.

So maybe I’m way off base but I always thought it was because you have to factor in the height of the optic mounted on said rifle. So if the scope is 2 inches higher than the actual barrel and your bullet is losing height the second it leaves the barrel, even though your optic is creating a straight line to the target your barrel would actually have to be pointed upward to hit where your optic is aimed. Once sighted in to meet on target at that distance if you moved the target closer the bullet only hits higher and higher as you shorten the distance. There’s a decent chance I don’t know what I’m talking about though and that’s definitely not a conspiracy theory.

No you're pretty close.
It doesn't have any thing to do with optics though.
It's the same with iron sights.

I'll use a .270 round for example, and round numbers.

To hit zero at 100 yards the muzzle would have to be 2" above the target to compensate for bullet drop.
At 50 yards the bullet hasn't dropped much so you will be about 2" high.
25 yards is where the trajectory intersects with 100 yards.

No, it's not a conspiracy, but more a misconception.
All of the above makes it seem like the bullet has risen.

Just some funny conspiracy thoughts I have had over time. Kind of spitballing a bit.
The human eye looking through a micro scope can only see so far. If you look at blood it looks like a bunch of planets floating around in plasma. And the space the plasma is located is always expanding because the host is growing. Similar to outer space. What if we are bacteria on a cell. Like a cancer if you will. We strive to survive, we basically consume and leave waste behind and are on track to decimate the natural resources eventually. Lets say the host of our Outerspace is the same as the next level of being and looking through a microscope at us and another level looking at them. Maybe asteroids are antibiotics. Just a wild theory i have always joked about.
My next conspiracy theory will blow minds and anger some. Living creatures evolve to survive. Fish numbers have declined for centuries and their food and habitat are a mess. A lot of major species have evolved to start out as Male and at a certain age change to female and produce fertile offspring. Grouper, Snook and many others as well have evolved in this way to help the species survive. There is many examples of similar characteristics in many species especially species that are threatened by extinction. There is geckos for example that have live offspring that have never been with another animal. I hate to say it but with the number of gay humans recently what if the human species is slowing our drive to create offspring because our resources are limited and our evolutionary clock is slowing the population in a sense by slowing the drive to reproduce.
Lol next...
Layers of the earths crust show we are 250000 years past the average life ending asteroid impact. And when it happens it means the same as the ant hill you wiped out... absolutely nothing. Dust in the wind and doesnt matter. The next species wont either.
With all the allowed crime and the governments goofy behavior I wouldn't doubt if someone knows something already, it would make a lot more sense but it still wont matter. Might never happen especially since my childhood friend who just retired from hi ranking military job finally told me how we befriended the aliens who are our ancestors and they shoot apart all the threatening asteroids headed our way, protecting us. lol
This is why when people say oh the military said this, it doesn't mean anything. I back the military but there is kookoo's in all places and a lot of people who join the military were sent by family because they had no direction or to turn around bad behavior and learn some discipline and of coarse many many honorable people who want to serve our great country.
This is a conspiracy thread and it doesn't mean anything.

The difference between the bore and sight height will cause parallax error.

We do have technology to manipulate the weather.
Nuke a hurricane was in reference to that.
And drinking bleach is not what was said. But in fact one of the best mouth antiseptics is bleach water. It's in the ADA and AMA quite lines learned that in school while I was becoming a industrial hygienist.

I need to learn to not shoot my mouth off about stuff I am ignorant about. I've used listerine every morning forever but never would have considered bleach.

I will take exception to using nukes to manipulate weather. I have no doubt it would change things same as a bullet would change your kid's attitude but that would be not good, right?

That is that I believe Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. The folks that can't address anything without referring to anything going on currently, without blaming Trump. Their hatred is s incestant, the only thing they spew is, "Orange Man Bad".

Is it really that big of a stretch to think that The fuckin president of the United States who has a ton a medical advisors around during covid might not have mentioned something like this.i mean every single medical student, dentist, nurse, nurse practitioner ect learned this in school.

How about the hunter biden laptop that 50 former intelligence officers signed a letter about and said it point blank did not exist. Was a hoax, Russia disinformation. Fbi said it didn't exist either. That aged well
