So i bit the bullet and bought MavTV Plus this week (99$ annually or 7$ a month).

The pros:

- It has a shit-ton of racing all things motorsports that i didn't even know were recording or raced.
- If you have a smart TV (Roku, apple, etc) the app is easy to install and login into
- Outdoor nationals are streamable years 2014/15/16/17/18/19..... But no 20 or 21

The Cons:

- It's expensive, especially for fractured (fractured meaning not all available) content.
- Seems like they only get rights to stuff that is old, Like i wanted to check out the arenacross series from 2022. but they only have 3 rounds of the 2021 series wtf.
- It appears some of the access they had before has been neutered
- MXGP has the 16/17/18/19/20 series but not all of the rounds.
==================================

With the little bit i typed up i hope DC can get a cheaper Motocross only option for fans.

Going forward, I do not know how to solve this issue but the people who own rights need to make a racing version of Netflix because the market, is getting super super fractured.

2022 arenacross is going on: rydetv.com = 60$ - Annual cost, Per Round is cheaper
2022 mxgp series is: mxgp-tv.com = 135$ American - Annual Cost, Per Round is cheaper
2022 national mx is: Mavtvplus.com = 99$ - Annual Cost, Per Month is cheaper
2022 Sx series is: peacocktv.com = 10$ - Monthly
2022 Gncc series is: racertv.com = free and on youtube.
2022 endurcross = schedule not out yet
2022 British motocross championship = 1 round, no tv or streaming listed
2022 super enduro is: superenduro.tv = 40.00$ - Annual Cost, Per Round is cheaper

I agree fully, there is no reason for AMA pro racing to have to submit to other production and streaming companies. Get full control, build their own platform.

At this point, we can't even find 2020 or 2021 MX races. How do people think we are improving, we are actively getting worse. Hell, the last round of motocross last year had no live timing at all because the TV crew had no idea how to do it. It sounds like we are headed to even less resources on the production of the broadcast, and we have to pay more.

I gladly pay my MXGP and MotoGP yearly subscriptions. I will pay for Pro MX no matter what, but damn is it disappointing that Pro MX is such an afterthought.

Mavtv is infamous for buying racing packages, late models, sprint cars, trophy trucks, etc...
And running them over and over and over.
Rarely do you see live racing.
The only thing worth watching is the pro motocross series.
So it's no surprise that their app is as lame as their channel.

Same as peacock.
FIS world cup skiing, and SX racing are about the only thing worth watching.
Their shows and movies are lame.

Just like cable packages.
You're paying for a bunch of crap you'll never watch.

MX Sports Pro Racing, in conjunction with longtime series title sponsor Lucas Oil, has announced that MAVTV Motorsports Networkwill become the primary broadcast partner of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. As part of the series’ milestone 50th anniversary, the “Home of American Motorsports” will provide the most extensive live broadcast schedule in American motocross history for the 2022 season. The championship will be showcased on MAVTV’s over-the-air network in addition to introducing Pro Motocross to the subscription-based MAVTV Plus global streaming service for the first time, where both monthly and yearly subscribers will have on-the-go access to watch the season unfold from their mobile and streaming devices. New subscribers to MAVTV Plus can take advantage of a limited time offer of $6.99 on a monthly plan!

This is a copy and paste. $6.99 per month limited time.

Dude the ama can’t even get results listed properly. You expect them to be able to build a streaming platform?

So $7 a month gets us live or replayed nationals with no commercials?

When I was broke in college I'd wait a couple hours and both SX and MX would usually get posted on some website that was like a french version of youtube. I think it was easier for them to keep that copyrighted stuff up being from a different country. Is that still a thing?

$7 a month seems pretty cheap even just to watch the Nationals, no? That’s less than $30 to watch the whole season live. Maybe I’m just getting old but I still think it’s awesome we have access to live coverage to all of the motos. Our sport is tiny.

The same people that run GNCC run outdoors. Why can’t we get racerTV on YouTube for free? Probably a bunch of sponsor requirements but that would seem like a no brainer? Or is this happening because MXsports doesn’t want to lose Lucas oil as a title sponsor who just happens to run mavtv as well? Seems like someone was presented with do this or we’re out…

Are we really complaining about a $7 a month charge to watch the nationals?

Yes…and nobody has answered the question on whether it will be commercial free or uninterrupted during the racing…My gut tells me that MavTV Plus will be the exact broadcast that’s on MavTV…I guess we’ll find out soon…

As per DC, the “no commercials” part is as of yet undecided. MavTV has not disclosed whether they will be breaking from the action to go to commercial. You MAY just be getting the cable feed which breaks away from the live action to bring you commercials.

I don't think you need Mavtv Plus, regular Mavtv will get you the National 1st moto's.

Ditch your cable/ satellite/ streaming networks…

2- boxes for $360 and no monthly bill.

I’ve saved $225 a month, (cancelled my Direct TV) since October. ($1350)
So a $1000 in my pocket and boxes are paid for.

NO BRAINER

Why would anyone pay $99 annually when you can pay $7 per month? I feel like I’m missing something

They do withhold some content from the monthly plan. I don’t believe moto is affected.

$7 per month is a special promotion price. So it will revert to a more expensive price later on.

If you remember the big selling point on Peacock at the beginning was commercial free and qualifying….they have been silent on this so far…That is not a good sign, we are two months away you would think that if the MavTV plus was going to be different than the MavTV broadcast on cable they would be selling that point now to get people to sign up…not a good sign in my opinion, the silence is your answer most likely…

I feel like we will be taking a huge step back if we have to pay for a subscription and still watch commercials. There’s typically 8-9 minutes of commercials in a 30 minute time slot on tv. That means 1/4 of the moto will be missed due to commercial. That will be really disappointing if that’s the case

Not complaining just sharing.

With that said my cable carrier doesn’t even offer MavTV as a option anymore.

Either way it should work out, I’m just trying to give people a heads up before outdoors start and the inevitable threads that will pop up pertaining to this change from peacock.

A lot of these choices are not even an option where I’m from so I don’t pay for shit and just watch on the Dmo, stuff em. After the race I just come on vital for the tmz 😅.

You could’ve watched my basketball games on local cable tv in 83. Commercials at Sammy,s pizza with with a mob of chics raiding the building yelling my name. My line after every win I stop by for a championship slice. Sammy,s pizza where winners eat. Rays tire - when the big game is on the line. There’s only 1 tire I trust Rays tire. Built for winners.

Pretty sure we'll get commercials by sound of it.

I am ONLY concerned about the races being live and uncut, if it isnt that is a HUGE step backwards and very disappointing.

If putting on commercials can subsidize the cost of what they have to pay for MAV to show the races they will. That’s just good business for everyone except the track. I think the track holding the event should ask for a percentage because it’s their site the race is on and unless compensation they can’t film on their property. That’s just good business for them.
Today’s world is about making money.

Probably because the limited time price will bounce about the time live events like MX starts flowing.
