Im perplexed by the 'turn-down' comments! WTF..

The circuit is 'X' wide and is not segregated in to lanes. Which means a rider can choose any manner or combination of lines he chooses. The rider in front gets to choose first.

The 'turn-down' line is a perfectly normal and acceptable line choice. Always has been, always will.
By apex Anderson is clearly in front lol. Mookie came in way too hot and left a mile on the inside. Anderson made a perfect move especially knowing he was passing Eli and it’s Daytona…

Anderson taking Roczen out and Mookie turning down are not mutually exclusive....

Anderson is almost a full bike in front of Mookie when he torpedo in to Anderson. The normal thing would be to let off but you could clearly see that Mookie was willing to sacrifice his own race just to take Anderson out.

It reminded me Tomac taking Webb and himself down in a heat in Daytona 2018 after Webb crossrutted him on purpose twice. It ended costing Tomac the win and I bet he doesn't give a F.

Jason comes back angry and ready for battle. Takes the title and the win in Salt Lake City. I got 500 rubles to back this claim up, who's in? 😁

It is great watching Mookie and Ando race this year. Hell - Mookie splitting Ando and Tomac down that straight was awesome. Yes -Ando came in too hot - but nobody hit the dirt. The best way Mookie could have got Ando back was to beat him in the race. He chose the dumb move to take both him and Ando out.

But - we are all waiting on the next race - this is going to get good and fun to watch.

hes not the raw talent et or kr are so he have to push his way in front. Like reed used to do the same with far more talented js7 and rc.

I watched it a bunch of times and I don't see anything wrong with his pass on tomac. Has Anderson done some dumb moves in past, absolutely. Was this one of them, no. Perfect second corner block pass. Tomac went for pass on mookie and Jason took opportunity to make a 2 for 1 move. In post race press conference Tomac said it got bunched up in second corner, said he hit mookie, then Jason bumped him after.
So Why's everyone ragging on Jason? When it was mookie who lost his shit when he saw a green bike there.

Because it could’ve easily been another person knocked down by JA. How many more times does it need to happen before it’s considered reckless and deserves retaliation from some one ?

If Mookie enters the track legally then I don’t know that he catches Anderson. The only reason he was able to take him down is he gunned it off the track and got blazing speed off that high speed jump to catch him. That was why Mookie was penalized(supposedly)....not the takeout. They were so close to the same race speed that if Mookie enters and has 3 riders between them...I doubt he makes the passes and catches Anderson.

Also...guys are saying the pass from Jason was not cheap. True....but when you have been taken out previously in a way you perceived as cheap then once that very firm contact happens then his brain just turned off and emotions took over. He was seeing red and not thinking of a race win, or points, or wait till later were able to register. Revenge was all consuming. All Mookie could think was “I’m taking that fucker out!” So you can argue dumb or unnecessary...
But Jason sewed these Mookie revenge seeds before this race and that riding style will cost Jason a championship that I think he would have won. That pass just set them off.

I think the dumbest move of the night went to Mookie. He was running up front and squandered a good start to take some revenge.

...also...Jason is not trying to race cheap....it is just how he was raised to ride. It is not easy to change that habit or reflex to ride like that. If anyone is to blame it is probably his dad telling him to ride like that when he was young. Same, only worse, for bambam and Friese.
Bambam wanted to change how he rides...and he can’t. It’s how he rides and same for Jason(again...not as bad as bambam and Friese.) ...But now Jason is so aware of Mookie at this point he will try not to make contact ...and having to worry about it might be a slight distraction and hurt his results a little.

Yea....you are right on this year....but career wise I would say the other two are worse. I think Anderson really wants it bad this year and is going harder and that is leading to more contact. jmo

Making enemies is not gonna do him any favours. Last week he lost 6 points this week he lost a ton..
On what planet is trying to pass two world class riders (Eli and MS) in a single turn from 5-6 bike lengths back a "good move"? It was never going to work. After that stupidity by JA, Mookie decided to one up JA in the stupidity category by getting revenge.... Plenty of stupid on both sides here....but in my book, it is the one who STARTS the stupidity that gets the most blame, and that is JA in this case.

This also showed just how careful and aware Eli is. He was literally in the middle of the mess...and managed to go on to win the race....

For all of y’all saying MS cuts down. You cut down when you have a wheel. Are these folks that soft that they won’t fight for a position? Do you all just roll over when you here a panic rev? Good God learn to fight. I would cut down every time. My wheel is in front therefore I have line choice, the end period.

He cuts down no matter what, by himself or with three guys in the corner.

To much time on his backyard track

100 percent cut down no brain

Uhh, did you watch the race? That pass worked just fine. It wasn’t even that aggressive. Just a good block pass. Malcolm wouldn’t have got bumped by Tomac if he didn’t try to turn down directly in front of him. Watch it again. Malcolm basically turns sideways in the middle of the corner then gets bumped.

And after that pass, Malcolm cuts the track and T bones Jason. The guy lost his mind there for a minute.

Regardless of what happened in turn 2, Malcolm decided to throw away his entire day and night to try to ruin Anderson, which is pretty friggin' stupid. Fastest qualifier, heat race win, great speed all day. He might not have a better chance all season to get that first 450 win. He needs to manage his temper on the track a bit better IMO.

As this series rumbles on, Tomac is definitely going to be seeing that green fender from time to time. The gap of 17 points is very manageable, Jason is riding superb, and he's going to go well into the grey zone of clean-dirty to try to win the title, that's for certain.

But it DIDN'T work. The way you are thinking is the way someone like Barcia thinks. He thinks if a pass is made...it is a success. But then he gets "Bogled". Same here. Yes he made the pass, but the way he did it, caused Mookie to blow a gasket, and then Mookie put him down. How often do you see anyone do something like that to Eli? Never...because Eli never pokes the bear repeatedly.... Right or wrong, if you piss too many people off, it will come back and bite you. JA does not deserve to win a title riding like a 16 year old. Just my view. I said early in the year that Barcia would never win a title because he pisses off too many people. This was long before he got payback from Bogle. JA is riding the same way...same result. Riders with Title level speed have to look at the bigger picture. JA seems incapable of that.

Well I do remember Webb trying to play with Tomac once, and he ended up being bit by the bear.

hold on. time out.
Some of you think Anderson didn't make contact with Tomac??

Regardless of if you think the pass was good or bad, smart or dumb. who's fault, who turned down, whatever... You can't say Anderson didn't make contact with Eli. Play the video in slow motion. It couldn't be more obvious that contact was made.

Saw that when it happened and the cumulative effect it had on Mookie. It's lucky Tomac didn't go down. Typical Anderson 2022 "ramming speed" mode.

I don’t blame Stewart for being upset with Anderson. However, his takeout in my opinion should have warranted some sort of penalty. If he’d have sent Anderson over the berm like Osborne did to Savatgy then I’d say well Anderson had that coming. And I’d be cool with it. T bones are a bit different to me. Idk why. Just have a different feel to them and is really lame. Plus it ruined his race doing it. He was on fire last night in his heat and was sitting pretty.
