The fastest of the two (fifty) dominants, Christian or Jett ?

Christian Craig and Jett Lawrence are defintly the fastest guys on their coasts by a clear margin. They are very different riders, one is quite old and got a lot of experience the other one is a young punchy rider. Their riding style though are very smooth and technical.

They both had to come through the pack at least twice, CC came back from last to 3rd behind Hunter and Michael while Jett had shorter races but could come close to 3 seconds behind the leader in 4th a week ago.

When they start up front the race is set and done, they're gone.

Now speedwise, what's your take ? Would you say Christian or Jett is the fastest guy ?

The fastest 250 SX rider in the world would be...

The thing that has surprised me most is that Craig seems to have taken a leap forward In his racecraft and consistency that I would not have expected from a guy his age.
In all there main event races together I don't believe Craig has ever passed jett. And jett has passed Craig 3 times. Otherwise whoever had started infront finished infront.
Jett has finished infront 6 times and Craig 5 when both finished the race.
The race that comes to mind with the biggest difference is indy 1. Jett crashed 2 times at the start. And came from near 20 seconds back to challenge Craig on the last lap and they crashed together.

I have jett winning. Top end speed is similar. I just think as the track deteriorates all other riders slow down but jett seems to cope best. But I feel this is the area Craig has improved in but I still got jett.

Christian is like Ken Roczen and sprints early, who knows how he would react when he's thrown down heaters and Jett is still there.

He also went through the field like butter though after being taken out by Friese and sometimes Jett rides over his head, and a mistake leads to more mistakes. It would be a fun battle to watch, I think the young gun vs the old vet. I understand why it's a regional series, but man it would make for a lot more interesting racing if the east and west weren't separated. 🤷‍♂️

Not sure, but we will see soon both have been very dominant though, it hasnt realy been close at all.

Jetts been 1 second a lap faster then everyone from the 1st race

Christian the same if I remember correctly

One way to quantify their speed (question was who is faster) is compare their qualifying lap times to the 450s. I haven’t been doing that other than they pointed out on TV at one race that Craig would have qualified 3rd fastest in the 450 class that day.

Jett is at least as good if not better than Craig in every facet and he’s 12-13 years younger. No contest for me

Both are at extremely high risk of throwing away a championship at any moment but I'd say Jett is more likely to

I think at Daytona that Craig would be faster then Jett. Craig is a bit more under control. Jett still a bit wild. Jett tends to make mistakes and rides over his head. Craig has been very smooth this year.

Jett is faster but Craig has the experience needed to not make the poor choices that Jett has ben making.

I favor Craig. Jett & Hunter are pretty close in speed, and Craig has decimated Hunter this year. Craig has definitely stepped it up. I don't think you can compare the Craig & Jett meetings from the past. This is a different Craig this year.

It's a dice and either could win on any given race day. IF I were betting I would bet on Christian just because of the experience factor. Jett was totally reckless at Arlington in his come from behind charge. We have seen Christian complete two come from behind charges in the west with no carnage.

I am a fan of both riders - both amazing skilled motocross riders

I think it's Jett, but it's really close. Cristian has the speed and his run through the whoops is going to surprise Jett when they get together.

Depends on the track. Long, super gnarly whoops? Craig is going to be faster on average. Jett might have Craig covered in one lap speed but he still rides like a kid and I’d have to give the nod to Craig over a full season

Lotta Craig haters or Jett fanboys here. I notice that all the pro-Craig comments are getting downvoted.

This year's Craig reminds me of Bubba on the 125's. He looks on another level. After getting taken out by Friese, he closed on the leader (Hunter) by something like 10 seconds while dealing with traffic. I have no doubt that if the moto had been 30 minutes, he'd have caught Hunter.

Jett is the class of the field, but he often looks to be riding over his head.

Unless Jett has stepped up his pace since he last lined up against his brother*, Craig has him covered on pace. Given that Craig is WAY more consistent, there would be no contest for a season-long head-to-head battle.

* Definitely a possibility. Craig is definitely faster than last year. Jett could be, too. I guess we'll see at the end of the season.

Quite possible. I remember both of them getting at least one win last outdoor season. Which, of course, is not the same as SX. See Ferrandis and Webb.

Are u trying to say hunter and jett are equal coz hunter won 1 round? That's laughable. Does that mean jalek is also equal.
Jett won the championship. He won 9 races and 4 or 5 rounds? And beat him in about 19 of 24 races.
