Sounds like collarbone is broken, but that's all I've heard this morning.

So bummed for Austin. This sport is brutal. Hope he can come back as strong for outdoors.

I can’t see a factory team giving him an offer Bc of how injury prone he is, granted this wasn’t his fault but I imagine teams look at him as kind of a liability more than an asset to their program. He’s a good rider when healthy but he’s mostly not healthy.

He's in a contract year and since he likely won't score the necessary 135 points for him to be forced to move up, I'm guessing we'll see him ride for Mitch again next year.

That said, I think a change to GasGas or Husky wouldn't be a bad idea. Secure a 2 year deal. Ride the 250 one more year and then move up to the 450 the following year.

He’s a guy that could give a team a couple of 250 SX titles . He will get a ride .

The stars will have to align just right for him to win any 250 title. Indoors or out.

New guys coming up. It’s not going to get any easier.

He’s had a long window open to win. The door isn’t closed yet, but it’s obviously closing.

All valid points , but he has that potential to win still . That hasn’t changed . How many new guys are coming in the next couple years have that same potential to win ? I don’t really see any with a better chance than Forkner , at least in the next couple years .

I don't like that move necessarily. He isn't the best in the whoops and that bike doesn't lend itself to be good in that area either. I would really like to see him on Star and the program they offer in Florida

You guys make it like CC has been riding 250s since he turned pro. Coming into this season he had like a seasons worth of more starts than Forkner in 250 SX.

Both are still at like less than half of the starts Party Marty got in. Chill out. Let CC come back and defend another year and let Forkner come back and change teams without complaining.

Seeing how he was wincing and slamming his fist (with his good hand) he seemed to know his collarbone was broken and he was hosed for the year. I feel really bad for him; he has had so many injuries and was so close to so many championships. Freakin Jett just jumps to his feet like he's made of rubber after the same crash with him.

No, my comment was aimed at his age comment. Forkner is 23 and he said his time running out real soon. Craig is 30 years old and still hasn’t secured a title but is on arguably the best 250 team at the moment and currently the title favorite.

As long as he has race winning speed, teams will sign him regardless if he’s not 20 years old anymore. See: Christian Craig.

Yeah I was agreeing with you on him still having plenty of time. Hence the not even being half way to Marty’s start stats.

I wasn’t getting into the age stuff, just start stats.

What I don’t agree with is some of these people saying there’s fast kids coming to replace Forkner next year either. Who is ready to win next year that isn’t there this year already? I don’t buy that the Swoll, Robertson, Kitchen, Pierce Brown types are going to make the leap next year. If he really is free next year of his contract he will be the first major domino to fall. If I’m him I take two years of a larger base salary somewhere just to be safe which means he probably does race in 2023 on a different bike. Barring an unforeseen outdoor title win for him and PC that is.

I found it interesting yesterday that his bike was under the tent for the Factory Kawi rig with Jason Anderson and not the PC rig. So either the groundwork has been laid for him to be on their team, or it was a space thing since PC had Ryder D racing as well.

Kawasaki must shake there head with Forkner and AC staying injured. I hope McAdoo believes in luck. Those PC guys have a black cloud following them it seems.

I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at the Nashville Supercross, when he had was starting across the hall from us at the Hilton. And a lot of people speak poorly of him, but he was really very nice to us. Despite that, even if he was an ass, I'd hate to see anyone get hurt or their season end that way. Very talented kid who can't catch a break (no pun intended).
Austin and my late son Max. "Hey Dad, Forkner's in the hall". Lol.

Austin is a good guy just fragile. Many riders have been like this. Herlings is one.

The guy has a lot of bad luck too. He was trying to ride smart and stay within himself and Jett squirrels out. How ironic.

With each injury, it gets harder and harder for him to ever regain his former speed.

Really bummed as his riding from what we saw and attitude about this whole season had me very optimistic about his future, where I definitely was not before. If he is out for the season I hope what little riding he was able to show so far lands him a good spot for next year. Very unfortunate.

If it’s just a collarbone, he got lucky IMO.

Bad timing obviously, but that coulda been BAD

Tough luck for Forkner for sure. Felt like Jett was out of control as well. Hard to believe that of all the guys in the East that McAdoo is the one staying off the ground.

Injury prone? WTF?!?!

How bout you jump out of a 3-story window and see how your collarbone holds up?
