Anyone have an animated track map for that? Maybe I've had too many concussions but I'm having trouble...

Ah yes, I see that now Sifu. I thought the sideways tuf block was an elevated holeshot sign or something at first so skipped right by it.

That had me confused too. I had to look at that for at least a few minutes before I figured out what was going on! Haha

At casual glance, the tunnel looks like a table, so it a appears that the long flat straight and the interior 90 both funnel into the same corner.

Upon further review....
Still though, not a place you'd expect to see an underpass.
At the end of a long straight into a flat turn.

I was rooting against Webb both times and he flat went out there and won them. There’s only one reason why and that’s because he was the best rider both years.

I see a right hand 1st turn (not really a problem). But it's confusing how the track flows around that tunnel. Think I've got it figgered out now though.

If there's a pile up in the first turn, it's going to be a problem when the leaders quickly circle back to the tunnel jump.

Yeah I don’t see this layout working well if there is a first turn pileup..
The fact that it’s a right hander too adds to the sketchiness of it all.

They all raced the same tracks. Big whoops might be his biggest flaw. But he's more than good enough that he still won 2x titles on the same tracks everyone else raced.

I think his real advantage is not the tracks. He's just so much smarter than the other fast guys and makes some incredibly good decisions at the right times. He also just hangs in there waiting for those moments to come not pushing the issue or just settling

Webb might not have 2 championships if Eli had his bike this Dialled..
Nobody, after RD and RV... other than Kenny would be champ if KR wouldn't have yard sale'd that factory Honda that fateful night.

When you change the frame, motor, swingarm and have no previous race data there's going to be some major adjustments. KTM has all the resources to make it work. Its going to take some time for sure.

It was what, round 3 when that crash happened? He had won the opening two rounds and was in 4th when he crashed? Roczen superfans give the guy way too much benefit of the doubt. He started every season off hot. He did the same thing in 15 and 16 but crashes caused by over-the-top riding derailed those seasons. Even last year, he was the points leader entering round 4 and proceeded to win 3 straight. We all know what happened after that.

So why is it that every single person seems to think that if not for that wreck (which was due to... you guessed it... riding over his head), he would've became the next Jeremy McGrath?

Also, I'm not implying that his career wouldn't have turned out better if not for that crash. There's a good chance he would've picked up at least 1 SX title, maybe even multiple. But to just assume he would have absolutely dominated guys like Tomac, Webb, Anderson, Musquin, etc for consecutive years is a bit unrealistic IMO.

Yea because he won so many SX titles before that, right?

Change Coops swing arm, shock and frame and he can’t get a result…

Yet Jason Anderson can get off a steel framed bike on to an aluminium framed one and be on top form immediately!

At the same time Eli Tomac gets off of a KX onto a bike with the engine round the opposite way and is also on top form immediately! This, on a bike that has previously achieved zero in SX remember..

This right here. Eli's bike looked terrible so many times. That might be on him though. Not to take away from Cooper but you gotta wonder how well Eli would have done if his fork weren't so damn stiff.

I think it’s more about the communication between Eli and the team to get him to feel “comfy”
His star suspension and chassis guy is the same dude he had in his Honda days, and obviously knows how to give Eli what he needs based off what he says.

There's a major difference between Tomac & Anderson finding instant success on new bikes and Webb struggling on a new bike. Tomac and Anderson were no longer gelling with their previous team/setup and were hungry for a change. Webb was totally in tune with his current setup, and everything changed, forcing him to adjust.

At the end of the day his name was still at the top of the board when the season ended . That’s like saying does reed win in 08 if Stewart was racing? Does reed hold on in 09 if he didn’t crash on the start In Seattle, does dungey win in 2010 if villo doesn’t have that massive off, does roczen win the title in 17 if he didn’t eject himself at A2? and there’s shit like that from every season up till now you could say.

And if Brad Lackey were 40yrs younger, none of these guys would have a championship.
