Octopi media snagged a pretty full photo sequence of the moment...the more I look at it, the more surprisd I am that El Hombre managed to ride that one out.

Was just reading about how the University of Utah basketball program's attendance is cratering as are a lot of other schools sports attendance. People's entertainment standards are high and the quick fix of Tik Tok is strong.
Ken hit Jason.
Look at the odd square off Ken does at this point:
I don't see how Jason could have anticipated that. When Kenny squared off, Jason saw it happening, and Jason committed to the contact.
They changed that sand section up a little bit each time they worked on the track. They never showed a good overhead shot that allowed me to really understand what the options looked like, and how they lines shape up on the corner exit. In fact, all the TV angles showed the corner entry and we never really got to see what the exit looked like.
Early in the night, the inside line in the sand section seemed to be the preferred line. At some points, it seemed like it was the only line through there. It seemed to me, as the night went on, more riders preferred the outside line.
Like I said, I can't say that I understand what the lines looked like on the corner exit.
My impression is that there was an outside line that would have avoided contact, and Roczen started the corner in that line, then squared off to a corner exit line that caused contact. Jason took an inside line that would have avoided contact....until Roczen squared it off.
Blame pie 80/20 ROCZEN.
*puts on flame proof suit*
The Monster tuff block that is closest to the camera in that picture is clearly on the inside of what used to be a berm/rut.
Not sure when it appeared there, but if it was put there between laps, that would account for Ken's sudden and awkward square off line change.
Outta the way, Ando train coming through!
That's a sick picture.
Pit Row
Did he want to pass Ken? Uh, hell yes!
But, he didn't want this outcome. He DID NOT want to put Ken on the ground.
Also, on the KR topic, Honda is the exact wrong team for him and always has been. They, Japan, puts enormous pressure to win championships, more direct pressure then any other make, and Kenny is the worst at mentally handling that sort of pressure. Hence...he buckles when the title is on the line. It’s too bad...Kenny could have accomplished more.
btw...You don’t have to agree because you are allowed to be wrong.😜
Like, "I REALLY wasn't trying or looking for that outcome, our lines came together and it happened. I feel bad that it is twice in a row now, but that was just a racing incident...:
No need to feel bad (in my opinion).
He was faster, caught Ken, and their lines came together.
"I didn't want to be that guy, but tonight I was"
Is anderson gonna use his bonus check to buy some Ken Roczen gear now??
