It's safe to say futures was definitely a bust in the first go. 13 riders and only 1 was legitimate. A 30 second lead in a 6 minute race does not look very good. Hopefully they get better because this was definitely a pretty weak start.

Just seeing Ryder D on a supercross track makes it great though. He looked amazing.

Yeah that was pretty uninteresting overall. Ryder looks good though. It’ll be fun to watch him and the other guys like Romano, Hyman, Ferry, etc. doing this, but tonight was not a good start to this at all.

Shame on the other teams. I could actually see a big AM team make a name in these. Like if the Barx Suzuki boys all showed up and they still had a couple Top A guys on their amateur team.

Hopefully it's more of a wake up call that outdoor tracks should not be a way to qualify for futures. I'm sure these kids are all fast on a moto track but we all know a full blown sx track is completely different.

Good point. Nice just to see Ryder and will be cool to see those other kids too. Even if it's just one or two of them at a time. Romano looks like he's going to be a killer

I think this format is a great idea to help acclimate future sx riders to get prepared for these different tracks. Hopefully this will cut down on injuries to 1st-2nd year 250f racers. Another area that needs to be addressed is having a source to educate these riders on SX suspnesion set up. Many of those bikes looked very soft and poorly set up for a real SX track.

Classes from previous years are returning in 2023. Atleast they're supposed to according to Feld.

They need to ride Supercross tracks before they come into Futures. They looked unsafe. Ryder D wasn't even doubling the whoops

the "future" class should be reformed as current east west regionals but as a pro am series. then convert the 250 regionals into a 250 national series

Emx is supercross? All these kids would eat your Emx guys for breakfast on an actual supercross track... sx is a different beast... a much more dangerous beast...

His qualifying time would have put Ryder 26th in the 250sx field at Oakland.

So I'm going to give this another chance at A2 after hearing how the top guys were all at mini O's during the Oakland qualifier it makes sense why it was such an awful turn out. Hopefully A2 brings real competition and it puts a better impression on us. It was pretty clear that alot of the industry wasnt too pumped on it either.
