If you don't grow, then you stagnate and eventually shrink to extinction.

I'f we're making sports comparison, the most accurate would be golf. They have the same problem as Moto (pre-corona) in that the sport has an aging demographic. If we cannot continue to attract youth to the sport, we won't have a televised professional race series', our "sport" will be reduced to a hobby.

If the Lawrence brothers attract any youth participation to Moto, then it's a good thing.

Do you realize the press conference is about 40 miles south west of the biggest motocross mecca… probably in the world? Hard-core motocross fans like you might not be able to “make it” but trust me there are quite a few other hard-core motocross fans that don’t live in your area

Somewhat related, I was watching the local Los Angeles news on channel 11 this morning, and they surprised me by starting a segment that began "Supercross is back on Saturday in Anaheim", and then did a live shot from the stadium, showing the tractors moving dirt.

Did a quick drive by while going to the store. They’re definitely moving some dirt. They had a big double set up between the studios.

Although there is some truth here how can you blame them? They are not allowed any integration with Supercross at all... not even in the pits.. anywhere, the only way for them to expand is selflessly through focused marketing like they are with Jett & Hunter,

I like that they are actually trying things, what sucks thought is that SX will either stop them in some petty communist way or steal the better ideas straight from them.

Could also be because Jcoop is out with a broken foot and now star need an A rider on each coast, so colt or CC tmight change coasts also?

Good on the boys. About time someone really had a good crack at getting eyes from outside the sport.
If feld would just loosen up on their restrictions and let teams/privateers sell merch, show off sponsors products and film all the content they like this sport could be twice as big and fields pocket would be bigger for it but they can’t see past the end of their nose (or the cheque they get from toyota/gopro etc etc)

Nah, he said someone who was going to be racing this weekend. maybe with coopers injury colt will go east otherwise they won’t have a title favourite on that coast?
