What ever happened to Jake Weimer? I know after Team Kawasaki booted him out from under the shadow of Ryan Villopoto, he dinged around on a couple of supplied teams...but I don't think he ever wound up on another factory team, did he? Did he just back away from the sport quietly?

After Kawi let him go from the factory in 2014 he raced a few more years on different teams including Team Tedder, RCH Suzuki, JGR Suzuki, and finally Motoconcepts in 2018. After that he announced his official retirement.

Isn't he also somehow involved with Let's Ride Powersports out of Rupert?

They support a bunch of racers in the Southern Idaho/Northern Nevada desert racing scene is about all I know for sure.

What I like about Jake (if I'm right on this recollection) is that his Family sold their farm / property / business(?) to back his racing, and, when he could, he bought back / bought another property for them. Cool

I wonder / do hope other successful riders have thought about their family, and their sacrifices for them, and, taken care of them, once the few, rare, 'lucky' ones have come into money.

Of course, there's the well known one about a family member, royally shafting their son, of his earnings etc. That, was stunning, to me, at least.

No, Jemcee...I wasn't dogging Jake in the least, in fact I was/am a giant fan of his. I simply wanted to know what he was doing now that his pro-moto career was over.

Lets ride Powersports owner , Nick, supported Jake in his early days. Nick sold the dealership a few years ago. The new owners are still friends with jake and even have built a few tracks for their fast guys to practice on, chance being one of them.
