I've never seen a team with worse luck.

I’m curious what injury he sustained that will put him out for 6 months… that doesn’t sound good.

Damnit. Kid hasn't even made the starting gate and he's already out for the season.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery and comes out firing for the outdoors!

I hate to say it, but this is only the first of more to come. As we get to within 30 days of the first race, guys are pushing so hard that it gets risky.

I was watching the Kawi team at Elsinore last week and they are just balls to the wall race speed right now.

Jett just posted a photo on his instagram story 9 minutes ago of his suiting up getting ready to ride.

He tagged cti so maybe it's a pre taken photo for a sponsorship obligation before announcing he's out.

When was the last time he raced?
He has missed a lot of amateur races over the past 5 or so years.

hopefully recovers quick!

Seems like the same old story every year. You would think they would have learned their lesson by now...

Go fast, don’t crash. That’s easy

Sucks so bad for that kid and the team. Tracks are too damn gnarly, something has to give. This sport is eating it's young and I blame the tracks.

is there any confirmation that he is hurt other than a tweet from pulpmx? That post on his instagram seems pretty contradicting.

These tracks are all so fast and cookie cutter. What about steeper, not necessarily longer jumps to slow things down. The wide open quad to step off to triple into a corner are cool but…… not saying that’s what happened but

Jett can't catch a break. It's been one injury after another for him for the last 4 years. Hope it's not too bad and he can make the East Coast. Was really looking forward to watching him this year, he's a really good kid and he had been really cool to my kid when we see him.

During the week professional bull riders will ride 1-3 times. Sometimes no times. Bull riding is dangerous.

SX racing is a lot like bull riding. I’ve always thought these riders put in way too many laps at practice. Too many days testing,, etc.

Guys are getting hurt or showing up to the gate completely burned out.

Yes, time on the bike is important. But the more laps you put in the higher the chance to get injured. I think there should be a healthy balance. It’s easy to take for granted the speed and danger of motorcycle racing at times. Especially when you are turning your 500th lap on the same track. Lose focus a bit, get a little lazy, and before you know it you make a mistake.

I agree!
Base training is what mid-week riding should be, with very few sprint laps. Amateurs ride laps because they are using it as a workout- the pros should be fit, meaning they dont need the workout, just need to refine skills, work on technique, they dont need to be smashing out Motos.

Maybe Mitch should hire Jeremy Seewer. Dude hasn't missed a single moto since turning pro 8 years ago. But then again he doesn't ride Supercross

I have the feeling Shimoda is gonna do some heavy lifting again in 2022.

Everyone already knows he'll be carrying the team on his back like he did last year.
PC has been a disappointment for a couple of years now.

When you run a multi-rider team made up of youngsters...crashes seem to happen. Not that more experienced guys don't crash...but they tend to ride more with their heads than their throttle hands. Youthful energy and confidence plays into things easily.

I’m stoked on JoSchmo! I hope he starts out batting up front and stays there.
