And per the injured guy's gofundme, sounds like this was his first race! So there were clearly beginners out there. If true, that is completely ridiculous and the only fault here is track management and/or whoever was running the race.

Motocross is such a dangerous sport. The only effective way to run a track is to always err on the side of caution, always assume the worst could happen, and never assume the riders will make the right decisions. Take as much risk away from the riders as possible. Of course I don't mean no jumps or anything, but to eliminate or reduce all other risks outside of a rider's ability and control.

This should have never happened. A terrible decision by the track and for what, to save one minute of time? I'm certainly no ambulance chaser, but as much as I hate to say it, if there ever was a valid reason for a track lawsuit, this is it.
