Back in the day, a friend of mine called these graphics and seat "syphilitic hobo vomit".

The updated plastics may not be for everyone, but most folks who would like a newer bike don't have an extra $8k laying around.

I'd rather have changed the rear snow shovel.

Here's an apparently unpopular opinion: think for yourself, style your bike in whatever way suits your eye, and try your best to refrain from believing your opinion, like your eye, is infallible and thus your tastes will - in fact MUST - guide everyone else's.

For the longest time, I thought the 90s era bikes were an absurdity in terms of style, all those eye-assaulting color combinations and vulgar patterns. I kinda still do, in fact, but the way some guys on here having lovingly re-styled their new bikes to embrace that older era is something I find really cool. You can tell they've acted upon a vision they had, and the purity of their vision-quest makes all the difference. You can just tell they love what they ended up getting, and the same is true for guys who took their older bikes and gave them a modernizing refresh. They committed to a unique vision, and I applaud them for it.

WE ARE MOTOCROSSERS, PEOPLE!!!! Stop trying to plant our collective flag atop the foul-smelling landfill mound that is conformity. It's an ill-fit.
Good post. Only persons opinion that matters on how your bike looks is your own. I appreciate those who do all the work themselves and create what they want. Seems the complainers are all about wanting to be liked by others. Literally the worst human trait possible.

pretty sure this was all in fun. I really don't care and some of the modernized bikes look ok. some people ruin, I mean mod classic cars.

I assume he’s running the front fender because of the updated forks and triples. That snow shovel looks pretty bad but I honestly think it looks better than sticking a modern one on it.

I think it looks good on my 04. My 05 I’m working on will be a stock restoration so it will have OEM style.

The CR’s look great with the 16-19’ plate/fender. That restyle kit however, nope.
