I personally never get tired of watching him ring the living hell out of his 2 strokes. Carson and his family are great freakin people. Carson is a dude who just likes riding his dirt bikes. Really fast.

Yeah he does. A lot of people don't know what family he comes from. His dad and uncle started BBR. Basically the most trick and expensive pit bikes ever made. When Carson and his dad and uncle used to come down with a big group of BBR guys to ride the indoor AX track I ran....was good times. I got to put in a few laps on those trick perimeter framed pit bikes. Would have loved to own one , but didn't have 20K to spend on one haha.

The PNW is lucky to have him as a local. Very personable and easy to talk to/approach. He just loves to ride…and happens to be really good at it

By far!! Unreal talent. I can’t figure out why it doesn’t translate to racing…he’s the best “instagram” rider on the planet!!

Would love to see him show up at a GNCC.
Just curious to see how he would do in that setting. I’d bet good money that he would shine.

Mostly just bad luck and injuries. I’m not sure on the exact story but he and JMC recently parted ways, he was only able to ride one SX round for them where he looked good but dislocated his elbow in the heat.

He has Yamaha support of some kind coming into this next season so I hope we get to see what he can do.

It's an old one, but this is probably my favorite video he's done...

JMC shut down their whole racing operation. Would be easy to think it was possibly a money issue.

But it has...?? He was never a standout as an amateur. Despite that he has a handful of finishes in or around the top 10 in 250 SX. While last year didn't go very well he has punched above his weight before that in my opinion.

JMC isn’t fielding a team anymore is why..

He does local Offroad races, and is always a contender. He attempted to do one recently on a Kx100 but the bike didn’t last long enough to finish. Would be cool to see him do xc2 or xc3, I’m sure he would if he had the support.

I don't ever remember seeing his name in the results of local off-road stuff? Not any podium results at least. I did see the KX100 race but don't recall much on big bikes.

He'd get smoked at GNCC in my opinion, he's not comfortable enough in the "pain cave" to hang with those guys. GNCC is all about suffering. Carson couldn't even muster up the grit to ride the second moto at Washougal.....but felt good enough to ride the Honda 250 intro a few days later.....

NORCS/team tortoise is the local events he’s done, you can look up results if you’d like, he won the riverdale round when he was on a kx250f, stock tank, had to pit 3 times I think. They are 2hours plus a lap. I also think ricky russel(gncc xc1) was still racing locally at that time.

He was 18th moto 1 at washougal, his shoulder injury kept him out of moto 2. That is a impressive ride considering he was on a smoker and injured. When was the last time a 250 two stroke was in the top 20?

Riding a press release day is nothing compared to two national motos..

I'm familiar with NORCS, that does kind of ring a bell but you can't check the results because as good of promoters as they are....Team Tortoise isn't very good at technology and the website is down. That was also probably 5+ years ago though.

The level is just a tad higher now.

I'd like to see him line up on a big bike and see if he can hang with Little Smail for 2 hours.

LOL dude, he dislocated his shoulder the week before the national and got 18th in Moto 1. The fact that he even lined up for Moto 2 tells me he has grit.

He had the same wrist injury that Ricky Johnson had I believe. He's def been held back with injuries.

I was just thinking full sized bike (125, 150, 250f, .....) in an eastern type woods race. GNCC, hare scramble, enduro, Sprint enduro.

It's amazing to show up at local tracks and see him riding with everyone. It's like a gift and always leaves you wondering how anyone could go any faster on the track than he goes.

It sucks about JMC. It does look like he has something with Yamaha; I hope it's a full effort for the whole season. I just hope he hasn't thrown in the towel on a full all out supercross effort because he is so skilled.....

I was on their BMX team in the 1980s Cool The family is the same now as they were then, all kind, all awesome, and all involved.

I was at Riverdale last Sunday and I think Carson had these Yamahas as freshies (250f and 250), they looked brand new. I will say Carson was getting every ounce out of the 250F that it had, he was wringing it the F out... The bike was like "I am tapping out here, seriously" LOL. It is a treat to watch.
