I think Ping can clear many of these questions with BB4 WTS. One can only hope.

Definitely not how I personally will remember the #4 until it's taken again.

I have a BB4 numberplate from a LV race in my office and I STILL think of RC when I see a #4

I am sorry, and I have said this before, but I do not understand the whole "they owe me an explanation" thing about their retirement.

Some will make a deal of it and some won't....and then there's some who deserve a send off, like RC4 or CR22

and that's fine

Let me add, Blake has always been a pretty private guy. No big social or youtube accounts, no huge insights into his private life. They're pretty private people

Maybe an explanation isn’t needed but a “hey I’m retired” would be nice for the fans that supported him the last 10 years

Big difference is that Tony is going out on his terms neither James or Blake did…

I think most people just think it’s lame that Blake can’t even make a post or press release saying “I’m out y’all, thanks for hanging from the fences all those years.”

Not even a press release. An Instagram post that would take 10 seconds to make.

Injury and the inability to get a ride, is pretty much forced retirement.

Both of those guys could have easily got rides and only blake was injured and it wasn't career ending. Look at guys like Henry and Roczen...those were career ending and Doug came back to win a title and Roczen is still giving it 100%. Anyways...i think most of us would have like to seen a proper announcement...thats all.

Neither one was offered a ride, and Stewy was messed up after his huge ko.

I’m sure if they started knocking on doors, something would’ve opened, but at the time they walked, they had no hard offers.

Comparing Brake to Mahomes is a STRETCH.

More like if Charlie Whitehurst didn’t show up
Baggett was one of like 10 guys on a near-factory ride. And he had a 250 championship and won in both 450 MX and 450 SX. So at least compare him to a top-half starting QB. So call him Matt Ryan or Russell Wilson.

James never recovered from the KO Dungey delivered at A1 2016, Blake never recovered from the wrist injury from the run-in with Anderson. These guys not making a retirement announcement probably has more to do with not announcing it to themselves than to their fans.

how the hell anyone can compare roczen's arm injury and coming back to race the Nats and SX with Henry breaking his back and coming back to win a National Championship is beyond me.

From what Kenny said, there was serious talk about the possibility of his arm needing to be amputated, so I think it's a pretty fair comparison.

Face. Palm.

These dudes had loyal fans for years who spent their hard earned money to come cheer them on....they sure seemed to enjoy the attention. It's pretty disrespectful to not be able to take less than 10 minutes to put something out that at least says...."Thanks for the memories, don't expect to see me around anymore."

It could literally be that simple.

If Blake were my kid I'd be pretty disappointed that I hadn't raised him to have more respect for people honestly. Probably a homeschooler I suppose...
