Looks clean but rather dolled up.

Those fork tubes aren't even close to original colors. They look like they've been cerakoted grey. Non stock bars just a few of the visual ques make me go hmmmm.

Looks good. I have one. It needs purple shrouds though

However, this was from the steel bar days-my bikes got Renthals or Pro Tapers before they ever hit dirt. The stock bars were saved until I sold the bike. So it’s plausible that the bike has different bars at one hours’ use…the forks are a big mystery though.

Remember when silencers had those tips that could puncture holes in your body if the crash was right? Ahhh when men were men, what a wild time.

Do you have contact info for the owner of these bikes? What else does he have available?

Thanks for the lead Philly215. I ended up buying the bike and it is as new as you can find without still being in a crate.

I did get some of the backstory as the original owner had purchased a 125, 250, and 500 all new in 96-98 for his man cave and swapped a few parts to mimic more of the factory race team look. Unfortunately the owner had passed away and his brother took possession of his assets. The bikes were all originally kept indoors and located in So Cal, his brother however lived on the east coast and all bikes were shipped back east where they were eventually taken to a dealership to sell on his behalf. Bummer that I missed out on the 250 and 500, also wish that I was able to get all of the original stock and hard to find purple plastics but the dealer did not have them. At least they still had the original manual and some paperwork.

The bike was ridden once to break in prior to being put on display. Shipping was a total pain in the ass to get it back out here to California, but now she is finally home for her second run.

It will be a rider once again!

i know the cr125 was the fire breather until it went to an aluminum frame
