Yeah I know it’s not a brand new two stroke but nostalgia made me do it! I was a 13 year old kid in 93 and can remember watching Jeremy McGrath wax people on this bike. My uncle worked at a Honda dealership and I loved going there. The smell of new bike tires, the banners on the wall, guys working in the shop. It was heaven to a kid like me. I wanted one so bad. So this was my chance. My buddy bought her brand new, rode it a handful of times and started a business so it sat in the garage for years. I needed a bike for the two stroke shootout this weekend and he finally caved. I honestly don’t even care how I do on it. I’m content to just stare at it in my garage and get taken back almost 30 years instantly.

I bet your wallet made that sweet sound when you opened it up to make this momentus purchase, too.

That is an amazing find. It's been ridden, so you can still ride it now and enjoy for years to come vs being a museum piece

I always wanted a 93’ Honda. I love the color of those years.

Congrats on a great bike. The Hondas of that era are awesome. We have a few and I enjoy riding them more than the new 4pokes we have. Enjoy!

Normally these “spoke with my” threads are boring.. this one rocks! Those Flouro plastics were sooooo cool, frothed on them as a kid.
Looking forward to seeing her all restored or freshened up!

Jealous ! Great find. We had a 93’ that was my daughters bike for several years. That motor and chassis combo works. I was going to keep it and do an MC replica but wound up letting it go. I regret it to this day. Have fun ! Those motors have that deep throaty growl in the midrange that’s like music to my ears. Congrats and enjoy !

Totally jealous right now. That thing is hot! Even has the stock white steel bars.

Awesome! Do a shake down ride or 2, I would be concerned about crank seals on a bike that has been sitting that long….actually… I would grease the chassis also… actually I don’t even know if I would race that bike! Super clean all OG…. I had one new in fall of 92, great bikes! Forks were harsh but could be made to work decent, the rest of the package was light years ahead of anyone else…

I wish they made plastics for modern CRFs in that color. If it exists, I haven't seen it.

Great ride though, enjoy!

Thanks for the comments guys. So after some fresh gas, carb drain, and a new air filter she fired right up. Little idle adjustment and I must admit I wasn’t expecting it to pull as hard as it did. It’s arguably got more snot than my 18 TC250 had. All fluids changed and now she’s ready.
