If you think he will be on a Red Bull KTM you really don't understand the Deegans. Brian is loyal and the family brand is above all else. A short term contract with Red Bull would damage the family brand and it just isn't worth it. Because Brian is loyal they are giving KTM everything until this contract is over.

Have to do your due diligence but as of now whether we like to admit it or not he plays 3rd fiddle in the family to Brian and Halie. It would be a horrible move for anyone in the family to leave Monster.

The premier team in the 250 class is Star Yamaha... that is what he will be on... hate to say "stamp it"... but... KTM just doesn't have the program that Star has right now...

And it keeps him in the same gear other than his helmet too. It certainly wouldn’t be a tough transition.

I think it’s more a matter of Brian won’t ditch Monster. He was one of their first athletes and like others have said, he’s loyal. “The Deegans” are a monster family. I’m sure they will have their pick of a team, but hard to see them on a KTM Group bike without Monster.

He’s in California for a ride day on the 18th.

Deegan will be on a Star Yamaha. Of course KTM is trying to persuade him to stay orange, but Monster has been apart of the Deegan family for a long time and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Also with Star willing to do whatever it takes (bike changes) and KTM not so much it seems like a no brainer. Either way it’s a great time to be a fan of the sport.

Star has the best pro program right now. It would be in deegans best interest to go that route. KTM has been a revolving door for new riders and would make me nervous going there

The pressure that kid is under is unbelievable, sure is going to be interesting when he goes pro. Do we believe the hype?

Personally.. the only austrian brand i see him riding is GasGas.. his image and ability to back flip dirtbikes, scooters, bicycles and all that... that fits the GasGas image much better.. as KTM is more like a clean cut, Racer's Racer, suit and tie kinda guy.. and i think Will Hahn will give him the proper guidance he needs to be a top contender in the years to come..

That all makes sense, and that being the case I'd think that Monster would have a great deal of influence on where young master Deegan would eventually land. Star Yamaha does sound logical. God knows they have the bucks to do whatever is necessary.

Perhaps KTM will want him bad enough to let him stay with Monster?
He and Max would be team mates at Factory KTM
I could picture that

KTM would be stupid to jeopardize it's relationship with Red Bull for any one rider.

IMO if he was staying with KTM it would’ve already been announced.

The stamp it people have no clue….they’re just guessing….let’s talk about the real issue…how does he go from looking so big on the supermini to looking so small on the 250…

I'm a fan of Haiden, and don't think he's too cocky.(My son and I watch their videos daily)Seems like Brian and Mom keep Haiden in check in the humility department.

As for what ride I think he will end up on, it's the Star Yamaha Team. Their amateur program is top level, just like their professional program.

I think Haiden is a pretty good kid from what we get to see. Brian and his wife seem to have done a pretty fine job with their children. there is no doubt that it would take a lot of money or other incentive to get them away from monster but stranger thing have happened.

That could change rapidly if the new Hondas are as good as is being said.

Yamaha only won by a hair this year.

You realize Brian has been a No Fear Energy, Rockstar and NOS Energy athlete, before Monster Energy right ?

I doubt they will be heading to the RedBull KTM Team, because of the RedBull conflict, but he has not been a loyal Monster Energy in the past…. He was a Hansen’s Energy sponsored athlete, before it became “Monster”.
Although, I’m sure he has no plans of leaving them now.

Based on this thread I would guess a lot of people could care less. I'm not sure how many people couldn't care less, though.

IIRC James was the only red bull yammy rider.

Deegan is going to bring a lot to the sport I could see KTM helping out the deegans to sweeten the deal and letting them to run monster on the ktm.

It’s interesting and a bit sad to see that the PC team (Sponsored by Monster Energy) isn’t even considered as an option amongst these comments.

Red Bull and KTM are a global partnership. I highly doubt they'd make any exception for an unproven (on big bikes) kid. I don't see it happening.
