So, have you guys missed me?

I went and saw Dwayne in the ICU on my way home from work today.

I was amazed they let me in, being that I'm not a relative, but you all know what a cool and responsible looking dude I am, so there you go.

Could have also been the fact that when I got to the ICU, there was a nurse struggling to get the door open with everyone's lunch in her arms, so I opened the door for her and followed her in.

He's in an induced coma until the swelling in his brain goes down, but he looks great physically.

Way better than he's ever looked the morning after a National.

The nurse told me that he could most likely hear and understand me, even though he can't respond, so I went ahead and told him I love him, then told him that all the yahoos on every motocross forum known to man are pulling for him.

Just from being in the room with him, I got a good feeling about his recovery.

Let's hope I'm right.

Met him at Glen Helen national 2008 at a MD margarita stand group gathering, super nice guy.

For those that don't know, he posted the race links for many years with all the great info on that weeks racing worldwide.

Just spoke with Shannon and it sounds like he's doing better & is communicating via giving people a "Thumbs Up" as a means to answer/acknowledge.

That is really good news.

Sounds like he'd been dealing with some health-things for the past coupl'a months and was doing his best to get a handle on it.

Keep thinking positive, it's goin' pretty good!

Just got home from visiting DW. He is still using his thumb to communicate. So he is doing as well as can be expected. I'll be going back to see him tomorrow. The plan is to also hang out with him on Saturday and watch/listen to the race
