Any chance the Pro Nationals return to the South anytime soon?

Just look at the schedule arrows they show on the broadcast and the south is completely left out. Would love a race in the south.

Between supercross and Motocross it's an 8 hour car drive from me to the nearest pro race.

Doubtful, they couldn't handle the heat when they ran Freestone. Seems like the riders hated it because it's so hot down here. I get it, it is brutal, but sucks we don't have a national.

I think the combination of riders suffering heat stroke and the difficulty getting spectators to come out in stifling heat like we saw at the last national held in Florida pretty much sealed the fate of a southern national.

Other factors come in to play but those are the two biggies.

Meanwhile, by your tickets early for the Atlanta sx and pray for good weather.

Intresting the pros come to train in Fl, but it's to hot to race? With star moving south, will that influnce a race more local, not sure if WW had the turn out expected. Or if the only problem is the heat.

Cycle Ranch seems to really be upping their game lately. I wonder if they have any interest in running a Nat.
The heat really isn't all that bad in early summer.

Maybe a properly lit up late national? Thatd be sick. However camera work would need help. Itd be hard to see because of the lack of light. When it got cloudy for a moment at Budds it was slightly difficult to see on TV

We had Muddy Creek for a handful of years, I went twice and enjoyed it but I kept hearing the riders complained the track was too narrow. I thought the facilities and promoter did well there, the track was always prime compared to some of the others I've seen this season were they've let it dry out and get dusty.

I thought Monster Mtn was set to hold a national then that rumor died a year or so ago....

Now, and this may be “too soon” & I’m surely not trying to be insensitive…I say this with nothing but Hope & Immensely Positive Thoughts…

We may get to return to Tennessee.

I don’t know that we’re done with FL, GA & a few others. The challenge continues to be venues that have the necessary items to pull off a National.
Last time I was involved in the conversation, there was a solid desire…hell…a need…to have Nat’s in Georgia, Florida…etc.
There still is.
All the while, as this Zombie Apocalypse still lingers, I know DC & company are still very focused on making a schedule -for 2022- that’s achievable & gets the job done.

Remember, he’s very involved in what’s going on in Tennessee: he loves those people. Literally. Once those folks can plant their feet & get some kind of feeling of getting their lives back…maybe sometime after that, we’ll have a schedule.

Like I said, it may seem “too soon”; but, I say it with pure hopefulness & positivity: I hope we go back to Hurricane Mills & contribute to getting them back to their way of life.

Godspeed to them and theirs.

Any chance you have more details on this infrastructure? I always thought multiple roads was a big one, but Pala proved that wrong... Almost everything is portable these days?

Location was the primary concern. As for "in and out"...that's always on the list; but, often just one of the caveats.

Arlington, Texas- not many people consider this the south
Daytona- East Coast
Atl- south but still significant portion of the south that have to drive well over 8 hours for atl.

Put a National in Florida at the end of the series when it “cools down”

To be honest something in central AL makes sense. But I don’t know if Monster or Mill creek really have enough space?

Would be pretty central to most of the south. The problem with FL (excluding the panhandle) is that it’s pretty isolated and quite a haul for everyone.

The end of the nationals is end of August typically…Aug, Sept are much hotter than May, June in FL
Isolated? Pretty much everywhere in FL is within an hour from a major international airport….
Quite a haul? And Washougal and Unadilla aren’t? Majority of the riders are already in FL…
