On the Fly Moto 60 show today, Steve Matthes hinted at Zach supposedly retiring at the end of this year. So with Jason moving to Kawasaki next year, who does Husqvarna put on the 450 other than Deano? Two former 450 champions are no longer on the team, that has to free up a large chunk of change, no?

That team is having a rough go lately…

Mookie & Deano. Maybe a 3rd but it sounds like TLD GasGas may add a 2nd?

Oh that’s right! I had forgotten about Stewart signing with them.

Bobby Hewitt is gone, the mother ship is now in charge of personnel. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that team has lost the mojo that once filled all 3 steps of the podium.

If Savatgy is out at RMATV KTM, perhaps he's on the Husky team next year as well? Dude has a ton of talent and seems to match the other riders that will be on the team.

Wasn't Bobby gone a few months or races before this race?

Mookie is legit in SX but this lineup will have a hard time sniffing top 10's outdoors let alone podiums. Love them both but the reality is they're both fringe factory riders at this stage.

With yamaha's 450 seats filled for the foreseeable future perhaps they should make a run at JC32 and bump him up to the premiere class...

Mookie was fighting top5 last time he did outdoors and will be faster than Wilson anyway. But they will
need another rider to keep Factory status.

If Bogle is a free agent, he would be joining two old teammates in Hahn and Barcia if he went to GasGas. He'd also still be under the KTM umbrella. Seems like a good fit without knowing what their relationships are like.

Joey deserves one of the rides at GASGAS or Husky in my opinion. I dont see how RMATVMC team is going with Max Anstie over Joey, other than maybe Anstie is riding for WAY less money. I dont see Max beating Joey in Supercross....or even motocross at this point.

I have no inside knowledge, but it sure seems like JC32 has a clear cut pathway to the Star 450 team after next season. With Plessinger going to KTM, and Tomac only having a 1 year deal with the team(and nobody knows how much longer hell be around), I could easily see the Star 450 program being Ferrandis and Copper in 2023.

Hypothetically, Ferrandis wins MX this year, Tomac wins SX next season and wants to stay another year. I could see Star running a 3 man 450 team in 2023, for JC32. They have proven that they are willing to spend the money to have ALL the talent possible, and they have already hosted a 3 man 450 team.

Husky should think about putting Hampshire on a 450 soon.

Hopefully they will hire my favorite rider at the moment, Max Anstie.

And then hire Max’s wife as the the team PR person…

Why do people say this? Mookie got 1 fourth, a couple top tens and a bunch of 15. He may very well be a top 5 outdoor guy now, but back then he was a twelfth place guy.

Plus by the time the nationals start next summer it will have been 8 years since he last raced outdoors.

And he'll probably have made more money than a ton of guys who did race outdoors the whole time.

I seriously doubt that, he is a minimum wage factory rider.

Bingo,. Money wasnt mentioned, if he doesnt need the $ why race outdoors. With a full healthy field he is a 10-12 place rider like anstie.

Zacho leaving is not surprising.
Even if he wasnt hurt, he has a legendary career with more titles than the average top tier rider that anyone would be comfortable walking away from

But his back is jacked up and hes been enjoying coaching the younger riders so he is seeing another part of life he might want to focus on.

i dont mean legendary in that he came and destroyed everything,

more like a legendary story

a hot shot rookie flounders in pros. falls from the top ending up on b teams. has to take a ride in the GP's. Grinds it out to come back. Gets a shot on Geico and shows promise. Moves to Husky, makes last corner pickup pass to blow savatgy up and wins the title, proceeds to run the tables in the outdoors. follows up sx title. moves to 450's picks up momentum and wins a sx then wins 450 mx title in his 30's

For sure. I had no idea he had Spina bifida. A bulging and degenerating disc mixed with that is nothing to mess around with. I believe even surgery on something like that is sketchy in itself.
