Can you imagine the outrage if Barcia did this?!

That's racing.

I'd hope Barcia would take away someone's line like that. Only way it's dirty is if you do it specifically to take someone out.

He almost moved over too fast and blew past the first corner

When I first saw the video, I didn't know it was Jorge. I was thinking to myself, "#61 is riding like a squirrelly goon." He would have gotten punted off the track in the 1990s SoCal 125 Intermediate scene if he rode like that, not to mention the pros. I'm surprised the MXGP guys are cool with it. Maybe they aren't.

It is racing, with that said there was a few tongue in cheek moments in that first Moto that left me confused why he was chopping so many guys front wheels off. Including his teammate 2-3 times which left the 222 visibly a bit annoyed. I had to go back and see if he was racing for the points lead to see he isn’t really a factor. Those are some last few Moto moves you save for when it’s needed, not when your 50 points down and getting 5ths regularly. However in the gp’s you see this kind of riding a lot in both classes especially if you go watch 10 years ago the guys were ruthless and it seems to be a way they race, the last few years it’s calmed down a bit. I just left it thinking the kids bringing back some bold school racing and wants it.

Fair game since he out dragged them but if that vid was from my perspective I'd be fired up and looking to punt him as soon as possible Grinning

As a racer you can "feel" when you got the guy next to you cleared. You can see he was leaning that way for a bit until he felt like he had the others cleared to pull the trigger and take the line. He keeps going straight in his line letting everyone else have the inside, you're going to get railroaded and come out of the first turn 10th or worse, whereas he came out with the lead. You guys are too reactive to this shit.

He needs a few “Bam Bam” moves put on him until figures out abetter way to ride. I don’t care who he is, thats too dangerous.

What do you mean he isn't really a factor? As of right now he's more of a factor than AC and Herlings.
He's 3rd in points. 2 points behind 2nd, 15 points behind the red plate. Top KTM rider.

Favorite part about the video is being able to watch JH84 from that view. Not many times I've had that ability. Dude was hauling the mail.

I’ll be damned. I went back to that video to look at points, 5th place is herlings at 227 and Prado 255. I had those two backwards. I thought Prado was the one to have 227. Honest mistake. That also changes my opinion about how he’s riding.

Someone did the same to me earlier this summer then went psycho on me after the race because I took his line away in a corner. It's racing, but don't cry when someone gives it back.

This is the front of the world MXGP class, it's not a place for pussies. There's guys out there racing with broken bones. Hard passes and not worrying about other riders feelings are part of the game

Cairoli did that on Pourcel so many times in their 250 days...

Thanks for the screenshot..
Initially when watching the go-pro footage i could find nothing wrong with it.. I was expecting something to write home about...

Now when I know what u guys are babbeling about, I claim "Nothing to see here but racing.. move along.."

Deep within we all know we would not hesitate to do something similar on someone, totally innocently... just because its RACING!

Thanks for letting me waste your time... now lets go racin,,,, or atleast enjoy it!

Who ever is ahead controls the line and can go where they want, you only got to be ahead by a wheel.Cool

I fully appreciate racing lines and aggressive passing. The guy in front gets to ride wherever he wants. In the first few turns of this particular race, however, a World Championship contender was riding like the guy who just moved up from the novice class but wants to win or die trying. The only thing he didn't do was look behind him to watch his own roost. I'll stand by my original statement: squirrelly.

It looks like he is doing a Rally car manoeuvre into the first turn.
Kinda like going left to turn right.

Marv had the same inherent problems with his KTM just like Vialle. They all of a sudden just turn violently across the path of other riders

Ferrandis on Herlings, Herlings on Searle, Cairoli on Herlings in -17 and -18... Nothing new here just aggressive racing.

I’m impressed with Herlings coming out of the inside ahead of TG!
