People bitch about pros coming back and that it's against the spirit of amateurism but how freaking cool is our sport that the legends still come out and compete at 50+ years old with guys who have never been a pro?.

Man this guy down hard at the start of 40+ must be hurt bad. He has been down a long time. I have a buddy racing and can't seem to see the number of the guy down.

I think it’s 27 Jeremy Shuttleworth down. He would’ve been a contender for 40 plus title.

It's never good when the delay is this long. Hopefully it's just an abundance of caution.

All the other manufacturers should be ashamed, where is your mini program???????

Check out the lists! It's literally 90% KTM

Do you think the new / newish / updated Kawi and Yamaha offerings will have any impact next year or are they still not on par with the orange minis?

As much as I like the Austrian bikes, it is slightly disheartening when you see gates full of them, but then again it's a no brainer when it's the weapon of choice and I totally get it, same as the Cobras in classes below it.

Can remember the Holeshot clip of practically (or entirely) all yellow from end to end from the very early LL days.

Looks to me like he caught a front tire below the helmet, and then a rear tire right to front of helmet. Really hope the dude is alright.

Shuttleworth?

Fucking serious??

That's that dude who totally fucked up his arm years ago in a first turn crash, snapped the humorous, compound, so bad the bone and blood was sticking out and gushing.

TFS had the photos and never shared, not even with me, only Jeremy

That's that guy.....that's fucked up

It was first turn then too

FUCK

See the Twisted d. Decal on the fender. Probably specially built engine for LL. Perfect bike for LL, with all the ruts and being rough. Jeffro for the 50+ title.

There's a spec list on Fro's Instagram about a week ago if you're interested, but yeah Twisted 150 will hoon, sure it'll be a good tool for the job there and hope he has a blast and his ankle behaves itself whatever way it pans out.

I’m pretty sure he was just out riding, not racing. I saw him out with the super mini’s

I just think KTM/GasGas?Husq just care about mini racing more...they understand that it translates to future sales...I rode yamahas my whole life until recently because that's what I started on...

The yamaha 65 has come a long way but it still can't hang with the Austrian bikes. My kids ride KTM's and they are a significant step ahead of any other 65/85.

Honda has never cared about mini bikes, Suzuki doesn't have an identity anymore and kawasaki has no excuse, they've had PLENTY Of success at the amateur level.

idk, it's mind boggling to me.

I'm not at the race right now but I'm just outside of McEwen and the weather is absolutely gorgeous today. Perfect day for racing, I'm going to try to head over on Friday and check it out.

I think you're spot on. The Blu Crew and Kawi have a good presence at the tracks. However, the KX or YZ can't really touch an Austrian bike. The new YZ 85 is a good bike, overall better than a KX. That being said, the KTM/HSQ/GASGAS are way ahead. Who knows what will happen next year. Our race season starts in October, we will see how many other brands we see. I think the main factor is, KTM put forth a lot of money into their mini racing program. They are smart. Get them while they are young and they will ride your brand what they grow up.
