The Moto Log Started a new thread 1994 Kawasaki KX250 Full restoration "restomod"

10/7/2023 9:27am
After over 2 years, I finally finished my project. Started as a basket case '94 KX250, bike was literally built from a bare frame up. If the part is not new, it has been reconditioned to like-new condition (except fork seals). Engine just barely broken in, 3-4 heat cycles, only ridden around my block. Bike has '09-up plastic, subframe, airbox...

The Moto Log Started a new thread Carbon Fiber parts for Yamaha Yz250 '99-'20

I am gong to be cutting a plate in the next week or so, and would like offer some parts to the Vital community for pre-order. All parts will fit '99-'20 YZ250/250x (exact years listed below). Material used is 4mm Quasi-isotropic laid, 3k 2x2 twill carbon. Plate was purchased from an actual manufacturer, so I trust it is high quality...

Sarasota Eh? Where abouts? That's where I grew up and went to high school. It was a great time and place back then.

More stunt marketing for fat old men with some spare cash to spend, like me. If history teaches us anything, you will see these bikes the day they come out parked at the Pala and Glen Helen vet tracks, ( right next to the new KTM FE) and being ridden without so much as a tire pressure, spoke, or sag check. Bike will be too much for a guy who’s last time on a dirt bike was a 125 back in 1998, and will go up for sale on cycle trader with about 4 hours on it- or become a...

I think JT answered this on a PulpMX show once. According to him, the price of the jersey would be astronomical because of royalties to the sponsors on the jersey. Basically, they would be way too expensive so nobody would buy them. What a great way to shoot yourself in the foot. I know what i would choose as a business owner. People buying jerseys with my company's logo on it vs nobody buying these kind of jerseys.

I just like that they used the SR designation. That means something / resonates with us old blokes. Cool Though, some may cry "sacrilege, that's the Works Bike designation".
