Does anyone remember the actual address of Chicken Farm?

How about BORVP - Brevard Off Road Vehicular Park? That Place had a go-cart track and some other things.....my memory is weak on this. DC sent me an old picture of me in the Mini SR class from here....pretty cool, DC. We called it Sharps.

I always go by Orlando Sports Stadium. Most of the track is still there. (One of the last concerts Elvis did. Someone in that neighborhood has their house on the exact spot where the stage was... )

Most people don't know that Bithlo has been here since before my MX life - pre1971 - when you go there, have some respect. My buddy still owns that place. He is 89. He used to shoot photos and own Midtown Cycles.

What was the other track in Brevard?......Cocoa? Lots of dark sand.

Also, I tried to find Air Dania last week via GoogEarth.....no luck. It was near 84 and the airport. Vanilla Ice used to rip that place up. (BTW- you need to give him some credit as a Vet rider. - He is fast)

Bradenton?

St Pete? I went by there a few years ago and the track had been moved to a different area on the property (from the 70s)....It is/was Kyle Chilsoms home track. There was a drag strip there too.

I came across an old hard drive last week that has thousands of pics....re: this post.
I have James and Adam on Minis......MiniO's from 2002 -ETC, MXDN-Materly, MXDN-Netherlands Stephan (No USA)

Cocoa was one of my dad's favorite FL tracks, Nothing in St. Pete or Bradenton anymore. There were slight rumblings of a track being built out east in Myakka where the old circle track used to be, but they folded shortly after the rumors got out. My dad has some old polaroids of him and his buddies at Air Dania, I'll have to try and dig them up one day.

Chicken Farm was a great sand track. Probably a housing development now.

I used to love Chicken Farm, I remember spending a week there with the Baileys, that wasn't really a school as they invited a group of us to spend the week with them before the Winter Am race there. Orlando Sports Stadium was a track I loved and remember a rain race there for the Winter Am but don't remember the year79 or 80?
Diamonback was a brutal track on both the body and bikes with that silty black sand, we based ourselves in Cocoa one year and pretty much rode that track everyday.
St Pete was a fun track that always swallowed up somebody in the water in the back every year, they are building a toll road connector over the property now.
What was the track near Palm Beach that was literally at the base of the landfill? That place always smelled so bad!!

In 1986 or 1987 I went to a track called Desoto off road speedway and watched a muddy qualifier for the Tampa amateur supercross. It was said Bob Hannah designed the track, but I was only 10 or so years old and we drove up from siesta key. Not sure how long that track lasted, it was behind a drag strip. I have photos somewhere.

That track in Dania had a really good announcer.

Raced at Chicken Farm in the late 70's. Lived in Iowa at the time but came down in the winter to race. Couple of trophies boxed up around here somewhere. Can't remember much.

DESOTO Motocross was very active early to mid ‘70s, then closed and came back once. In the mid to late ‘80s Gary Clark ran that track, and Yes Bob Hannah did help with the redesign of the track at that time.

Miami Hollywood Speedway.

It was next to the drag strip, right at the 1/4 light

It was a lime bed up and back

That entire area, which then was in BFE end of the F'n planet in the middle of the swamp is now all homes

That announcer was awesome. He would always make you hangry for hamburgers from Ken's Weenie Wagon.

BTW, I'm sharing that

Thanks

This is from 1999, and that is me on the microphone.
This would have been just before I incorporated Engine Ice (CycleLogic) in Jan 2000. I was likely in late development and product name at this point. Product debuted officially Mothers Day (May)2000 at Glen Helen

Ken's Weenie Wagon still comes to all our off-road events here, My breakfast of choice on race mornings.

Us guys from St Pete enjoyed those days racing Chicken Farm, Inverness, Ocala, Bradenton, Sunshine and Orlando. Had some practice tracks on Bryon Dairy road, I-4, Lake Seminole and Hernando. Great times for sure back when we didn't have a care in the world but riding and living the 70's Florida lifestyle.
