The only change they need to do is rebuild it how it was in 2000.. get rid of half the trucked in sand too.. it always had somewhat sandy corners, but the 40 billion truck loads took it from my favorite track ever to about mid pack. I am excited for vet fest tho!

There has been a fair amount of rain, but not more than the nations the other year I'd say and its summer so its hotter. The main thing will be the parking, pretty sure some people are still buried in there from the nations!
Pretty sure I STILL find mud under my truck from then Laughing

I haven't worn my muck boots again since lol. I have them mounted on my garage wall instead of a poster from the event.

The outdoor tracks are what they are because of the layouts. That's what makes motocross what it is. High point is no longer High Point to me anymore. Wow, they had a billboard turn wall. That was it. You could put that anywhere. If you want different layouts, that's what supercross is for.

Would be nice if they changed the valley section after the start back to a retro '90s with the double double heading up the hill
"Double Double" and the "Valley Triple" were awesome, back in the day. The newer layout is nice, but i do miss those (2) obstacles...

Every year I think these tracks should have to re do the layouts. Keep the popular sections but man these tracks are getting monotonous.
May I introduce you to Supercross?

Are you saying that Supercross has variety?

Because I would disagree. Every single track, minus the race ways, are basically the same. They even took out dragon backs now, so every track is "Rhythm, triple, whoops, wall, repeat"

Might be an unpopular opinion, but they should push the landing to Laracoo's Leap another 5 feet or shorten the run-up to it.

Only one or two of the 250F riders with the biggest balls should be hucking that thing, and it requires getting the corner perfect... When half of the top 20 riders jump it, it just becomes another obstacle.

Guy Cooper doing the Valley Triple was scaring me to the point I just wanted him to stop! He was doing it just fine but the toll for a mistake looked way too high to me.

i just hope they take a page out of mt morris playbook and don't rip deep and turn it into rutfest. that was the best mt morris track i have seen in 30 years. enjoyed that race mainly because the track was so good. hopefully redbud is just as good this weekend.

I'm saying is copy-paste and Nationals reign supreme

Baseball stadiums IMO are more exciting than football fields because they have to work around the weird shape

Ohio girl at 4.08 is hot, but most are. 2 miles into Ohio from Phily, a typical hot short petite blonde passes me. I double toot the horn , she gives a piece sign threw the sun roof then a index finger #1. Sat tornado warnings and hvy rain , in s. Eastern Mi. Should be perfect for working the track during the week.

I hope they add sand. This track would be great as a euro sand track.

Its already surpassed Southwick as the sandiest track on the national circuit. Personally i think they went too far with it years ago. I preferred the track circa 1990 for racing. RIP Gene.

Really? I ride/race Redbud four+ times a year. The only sandy section is the rollers after the flag jump and then a very small area between Larocco's leap and the finish line. I have not ridden Southwick personally but based on video's it looks much more sandy than Redbud. I would love if they brought in significantly more sand and made the bowl turn and S curves after the ski jump pure sand sections. Its all personal preference, regardless of changes or not, I will continue to HAPPILY ride Redbud anytime they are open!
