I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some examples of motocross tracks that are located in town across the country? Here in OK Ponca City is my best example, but I'm sure there is others. We have something in the works and I'm just looking for a few more examples to pull data from.

Also the late, great, 408MX just south of San Jose.

And as Hammer663s mentioned:
PIR is a great example, near a road course, airport, and industrial area.
408 MX was in the fairgrounds in San Jose (fairgrounds group kicked them out).
Can I ask what data you're seeking? Most closures I know are from residential getting too close. Being near an airport, freeway, or industrial park also seems to be critical.
The track is right on the edge of the city and some of the turns overlook the skyline. It was a really cool experience and I want to go back some day!
I just did some googling and found this random article about it where they talk about how odd it is for it to be located to close to the city haha. https://bike-news.jp/post/163587

Not surprisingly, it's no longer open.
Their dealerships are way cooler than ours! It was like a grocery store of motorcycle parts instead of everything hidden behind the counter or having to be ordered from a catalog.

Largely surrounded by Commercial estates, and with those and Highways (Mcleod, Deerfoot and Glenmore "Trails") on 3 sides, rivers and a water treatment plant between it and residential areas, it looks to be pretty safe from complaints etc.
What might / eventually will be it's demise is the shear value of the land for development. That's a fair wedge of land, stuck in among industrial / light industrial estates $$$$$$$$$$ for whoever owns it. Even if it were Club owned, the pressure of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ would be hard to resist.
I hope the MX Riders , BMXers (looks to be a track there) and RCers of Calgary have it for a long, long time.
