Seriously if I'm Kenny every time I pass Cooper this season I do it with authority. I'm not even saying using him as a berm I'm saying fly past him like he did in moto one with about 5 or 10 mile an hour in hand. It may not even effect Webb's confidence at all next year but in his mind Kenny will remember beating Paul like a rented mule. Hell, if I'm Kenny I pass him on a jump and give him the finger guns.

If it were that easy (to just blow past anyone, let alone Webb) don’t you think he would do it every time he was passes someone? I mean do you think he’s just taking it easy when passing for positions? Like he does something different?

Ok, work with me here. This may require a little bit of brainpower.

Givens:
1) Kenny is the fastest outdoor rider as of this particular second.
2) Cooper is getting good starts and getting worked pretty good by the rest of the top guys.
3) Kenny may just be faster than Cooper everywhere but have a section of the track that he has absolutely dialed.

If all those are true and I'm Kenny I want to pass where I am going my absolute best.

Heck yes it affects confidence to get blown by.... paul has the speed, he has shown it outdoors before, albeit rarely, so he could make a push, but he chooses not to.... he chooses 8th place.... not a good look for arguably America's fastest rider....

Work with me here.... Kenny doesn’t care where he passes Cooper as long as it happens as quickly and efficiently as possible. We’re not watching The Fast and Furious here. There’s no on section or drama filled pass that Kens looking for. He’s just looking to get the job done, win races and bring home a championship.

Since this is clearly a thread for the Roczen ball huggers (guilty) I would also propose that Coop is ONLY referred to as Paul from this point forward. Can’t count Paul out though, I ain’t his biggest fan but he won’t be taking these results lightly and at some point he will back to speed that is expected of him.

If I were Kenny, I would focus on myself and getting as many points as possible in as many races as possible.

If he starts getting distracted over old drama with single person, that won't help him beat rhe other 38 guys out there.

Herlings was phenomenal and then started taking about Everts records and all that, and that's when the wheels came off

I am a Huge Kenny Fan and don't really like Cooper because you can't be both LOLOL I don't think Cooper really cares that much at this point he just won a SX title Spanking Kenny BUT once he cares I think it's going to be game on.

I agree it would be cool if Kenny did fly past him like he was standing still but as mentioned above, I think just passing him and finishing in front of him is rad enough. Its been very cool to see Kenny get the lead and then check out.

There was a pass in 2019 at Mt Morris that Kenny put on Cooper and it was badass, however it did not affect the way Supercross has unfolded since. So what happens indoors or outdoors rarely transfers.

Cant mix SX with MX with Webb. Kenny is on rails for MX right now, sort of hope him and Dylan have great battles. This is not SX 2022 season, so save the comparisons for next year along with rent free statementsSmile hopefully to be forgotten....

It would be a different story if Webb was in this title fight and Kenny came from the back to pass him.
Webb has gotten passed about 15 times every weekend. His head won't remember each of those passes in 2022...

I just like it when Ken passes Webb like he is a lapped rider mid moto. Like he dont care that Webb is there and just goes around him and gap him with 3 seconds the first lap.

I dont see the point of starting games with a rider that rolls in 40+ seconds after Ken has crossed the line..

Were there any statistics/timings during supercross done were it was clear where Webb was clearly all the time faster than Kenny? Maybe Cooper is just the all-time-master at doing 180 turns in bowls on slick surfaces, those are many and if he is clearly/marginally faster than Kenny there, it might be enough to as he did, just beat him in every supercross??? There is not too many 180 bowls/berms in motocross, so he cannot really take the art he became a master at to motocross. Next year, he does the same, 180 switchbacks will be on the supercross agenda and Webb is the '22 champ again?

Sorry if this has been beaten to death already... I'm a big F1 fan and in F1 there is usually very detailed analysis on in which section a driver is faster/slower. In the whoops Kenny and Cooper was about the same, right?

As much as it seems like it's easy for Kenny to get into his own head (or anyone else for that matter), he'd be much better off to just ride his own race and not pay too much attention to who and how he's passing. Do it and move forward to try to win the race.

I'm not suggesting games at all. I'm saying the same thing you said.

Anyone that thinks that a guy as competitive as Webb is was ok with him getting blitzed the way he did is crazy. From the postrace show on Pulp it didn't sound like Webb was a guy you would want to be around, he was pissed.

Webb was posting a lot of outdoor content on social media pre season. Unusual for him. I think he was really confident going into outdoors, obviously why wouldn't he after this sx season. Pretty sure that's a though pill to swallow for a guy like Webb, holeshotting and getting dropped to 8-9th place.

I'm also wondering.. when was the last time we saw Kenny getting passed late moto and instead of settling he was studying their lines just so he could blow past them a couple laps later. I already told people to watch out for him outdoors, since he seemed to be in way better shape this sx season. Let's see by half way through the season if his late moto endurance holds up. I hope he get's it done. A big fuck you to all the haters who told Kenny to retire.
