Flame out issues on 21 350 XC-F?

Having flame out issues on my 350 XC-F. In stock form it happens occasionally, I recently purchased an Akro full system and it seems the flame out is worse. Ive read that a ignition remap will fix this issue. Can anyone confirm this? Who is the best to use? Twisted? Harris Performance?

I race offroad and with the 6 speed tranny 3rd is money, but with that comes the flame out and 2nd seems to be too short for my riding style.

Two things to check first, TPS and idle speed. Those two things are the biggest factor in flame outs.

Flameouts are mostly eliminated on my '19 FC350 after adding a Vortex (mapped by XPR).

Remap by XPR or TD would be next choice.

Last 2 350’s I’ve had have done the same. Turn the idle up a bit higher than you’d normally think and you will be happier. I know this sounds too “basic” to be the cure, but sometimes basic works! Good luck with the 350 they are the best overall bikes made! (I may be biased here)

put a 21 ecu in. zero issue. had 2x 18s, 19, 20, 3x 21's the 21's flameouts are completely gone

I'd tend to believe that reflashing your current ECU by Blais would be the better if not best option to "fix" that fueling circuit to eliminate flame outs. Bang for the buck, that's the route I'd go.

I'm an old and admittingly slow offroad guy, so take my experience with a grain of salt. I couldn't get my FE350s ECU reflashed like your XC-F, or I would have. Raising the idle helped a bit, but ultimately bought the JD Surge piggy back ECU tuner so I could enrichen that circuit and eliminated flame outs. Money no object would have gone Vortex or Get, but happy with the results from JD at a fraction of the cost.

Need to put your TPS to the correct setting before you reflash. Its only a bandaid fix.

Run a 52 rear sprocket. Turn up idle. Cover the clutch. I had a hard time adjusting to my 19 for offroad after riding 2 strks only. I rarely stall now. I also am in 2nd gear for most single track

So I talked to a guy at Blais racing and the 21 ECUs are locked and cannot be re flashed. So I am going to try the clutch weight first, if that does not work then ill go the Vortex or GET route. To be clear the flame out is not so bad I cannot ride it, but even every once in a while in a tight section is annoying.

Ill update once I get it installed and have a chance to ride it.

It’s already been suggested, but I just want to reiterate that bumping the idle up a little can really go a long way towards solving this issue on this bike.

I rode an MX track this weekend with the clutch weight installed. No flame out issues at all. That being said I didnt have many while on an MX track anyway but id did help the low end grunt a bit. Im racing an enduro this coming weekend so that will be the real test.

I bought one of the fuel injector connections that is a better angle than stock from ktm husky or dual sport bikes .com and it definitely helped in my opinion but most of my testing is on the track not in the woods so not sure how effective it would be in true slow flameouts. Mine were probably closer to stalls instead of flameouts if there is a difference.

TPS adjustment will fix this. Go to TPSTool.com and order you one, or find someone who has one and increase the voltage by 0.2 volts at each adjustment until you get the flame out fixed.

Normally increasing the TPS voltage by 0.2-0.6 volts will fix this.

I had a similar issue on my 2020 350 sxf, thing would flame out every time I came in on a tight corner. Problem got worse after I installed a full yosh system. I called twisted development and in not so technical terms it was explained these ktms come stock mapped on the leaner side, and the exhaust made it worse. Bottom line he re mapped it for me and the problem is gone, and the power delivery on the 350 is much better. Ive read many reviews on these re maps that worked awesome!

Have you considered a Pekluse clutch as pulling in either 2 nd or third the best it could be and the flam out issue would be gone.
