What a bunch of cry babies. Is the game perfect, not even close. We went years and years without a moto game and now we have multiple. There’s a lot in the game I wish would change or could be better but it’s not. At least we have multiple moto games and this one has all the tracks, teams, sponsors, riders. If this game goes away who will make a moto game ever again??? I doubt anyone so let’s quit crying

If you get your wish and we just accept what they’re releasing, they’ll soon find that their game will quickly find its way into the $5 discount bin no one will be buying it. THEN you won’t have a game at all.

Why can’t they improve and listen to simple criticism to ensure that people will continue to buy future releases?
They only have the licensing because they’re contracted to release a game every year. If they had the opportunity to take their time it would no doubt be better but they have to race the clock every year for a c-level sport that’s barely covered.

Before it was normal but Sony and Xbox tried to make these new consoles cross play where ps4 and ps5 guys and Xbox one and Xbox series s or x can play together. Not all game are going to be able to do this. There are a few that are not able to beside mes4. You can still download the regular Xbox version on the new consoles also

The good so far...

The bike is finally slower and harder to ride cleanly so you are forced to be smart and calculative.
You can't skip across the peaks of jumps through entire rhythm section any more.
The Tuff blocks are way more forgiving and realistic.
First turn chaos has been brought down to a realistic level.
Game lodes noticeably faster
Riffling through the object menu in the editor is better and easier.

The bad so far...

First impression is that it is visually bland compared to #3.
Rider movement is more jerky, stiffer and less realistic.
Bike sounds like a 230L. Can we just get a realistic deep 450 sound?
The tracks look like crap. Real SX tracks are super clean and chiseled looking.
The stadium sizes in the editor fail. The small ones don't allow for a typical 7 lane SX track so they are unusable for replica tracks. The larger ones are fine, But why make the larger outdoor one 1/2 the size as the last one? And how about an infield template for Daytona and the new upcoming Atlanta rounds? After all isn't this THE OFFICIAL SX GAME?
Minimal (and I mean only a few) new objects in the editor.
Can't reverse a bunch of those.
Still has that lame 30 foot flat unbuild-able area in front of the start.
Object menu on the bottom blocks your work area when creating tracks.
Shouldn't ET3 be the rider in the editor since he won last year? LoL.

Summary so far...

Is this game worth $80 dollars? No. Why? Cause it is not an all new and improved edition over #3. It has the visual appearance of a game from the 90's. The rider is goofy and unrealistic. So they went backward here. It is worth $39.95.

The only good thing about this new game is that this rider is the closest to being realistic in terms of speed and ability. Smooth smart racing pays off with good results and a more real "feel" of being accurate on a SX bike in terms of timing, throttle, brake, steering & line choice. I actually like this part very much.

But the rest of the game is visually ugly. Graphics, menus etc. The editor is super limited.

I am always glad that some one will make a SX game. But this is Milestone's 4 try. For their latest attempt I say I am disappointed. It's almost funny. They got us! $80.00 for this game. LoL.

But, I'll still probably play it every day and obsess with making reps.

This weekends track is up search SPX to race it. XBOX ONE

I don't mind the engine sounds. I thought it was much improved over the last 4, especially hearing people come from behind you (I only have 5.1 Surround Sound though). The overall sounds are better. I also don't think the graphics are bad at all. I don't think they improved much, but they didn't get worse. The track transforming is welcoming. The rider is a bit odd in 3rd person, same with 1st person, They changed the rider perspective so you need to watch how your front fender (and not how your in game head) is moving. It takes a bit to get used to. I spent only $60 and I thought it was worth it! I don't think it was worth it for $80 you're right. I'm playing on XBONE.

I am enjoying it so far for the most part.

Annoyed there’s no tech 10’s and the gear selection is limited overall. They definitely copy/pasted a lot of the gear and graphics from the previous game.

I do like the fact you can’t skim sections any more, you need to time to build speed.

Also I feel a bit ripped off as far as tracks, the multiple SLC rounds are not great at all.

The AI is not easy to beat, even in Easy.

I hope they have more gear available in DLC. Already invested $80 in this stupid game, what’s another $20-40 for gear? 😂🤦🏼‍♂️

I’d probably not play much, but a few of my buddies and I have some fun online battles which makes it all worth it.

Cornering is a mess. I almost have to come to a stop to make a turn and the AI seems like they are on rails.

Be very light on the right stick and that should help a ton.

Game is awesome after a few hours. There are some tracks that are absolutely perfect.

I've been running full races with practice and heats for the ability points and noticed that I can win practice by a bunch easily every time but those same riders will suddenly be 5-7 seconds a lap faster when the gates drop. I'm getting it done but it has to be frustrating for some newer players that must be having a hard time beating the AI and ranking up their equipment/rider. I wonder if the practice speed is what very easy AI is supposed to be and they screwed up and had them leveled up in races.

This is so weird because its the exact opposite of every other game
Usually the mileston games have very difficult practice times to beat, and in the race they are 4 seconds a lap slower
this is the first game where i get the top qualifying time every race, and then have some struggles winning

AI is super hit and miss on this one. Some races I can win by 30 seconds, and the AI is crashing non stop, other races they are on a rails and i barely make it into the main

Also, I wanted to point out that while terrain deformation isn't what I wish it was, you definitely notice it in sand sections and slower corners if you try to just cross over ruts it'll upset the chassis.

Like I said, not exactly what I'd like, but a step in the right direction.

The regulator edition isn’t worth it. Save your money.

I feel like AI is fastest in heat races and much slower in the main. I’ve been getting like 3-6 in heats but win every main

Does anyone have good suspension settings they would like to share. I have been able to set it fairly easy in the other games but this one I can not find a happy place. It seems like on the setting I found to be most comfortable, when I am in the rhythm section and triple or jump onto a table, I spring into the air like a pogo stick and the computer seems to fly under me. I know when leaving a jump you can take the right analog forward and it helps but still seems like something is off. Any help on to what you guys have found for settings would be appreciated.

I have never messed with the suspension settings in the game. I don't have 4 yet, still enjoying 3, but am interested to see what others say.

I just downloaded 4 on my laptop. it seems like I'm stuck in first gear or slower. I can't even make it up the tunnel jump with Eli and the AI almost does a lap before I reach the first turn. Something is definitely wrong.
I have owned every moto game so I am kind of experienced. Might have to re install but it took days to download. I usually play on Playstation but wanted to have it on my laptop.
edit.. Got it sorted. Pretty fun game.

Been keeping an eye on this as some of the positive comments in here peaked my interest, but having a look at YouTube videos and reading the overwhelmingly bad reviews on steam I think I’ll give it a miss. Same polished turd, different name, by the general consensus.

I'm not sure if you're console or PC, but some have said on consoles that the "very easy" is actually harder than "realistic." I've seen this glitch in past games where the difficulty setting seemed useless as well. Try another setting to see if you have any luck.

It's really not a bad game. I'm getting the hang of it and it's pretty fun. You don't feel "locked in" to certain lines in rhythm sections. You lose more time in rhythm sections and they're more consequencial. You can't just bulldog through them like 8ft high whoops. Well, you can in some instances, but the AI is going to blow by you. The only gripe of mine is the cornering. It seems like with their latest games, you can't gas it around corners. It just pushed way to the outside. But if you have it in 1st or 2nd it seems to turn sharper. You can't lug it around in 3rd or it'll just keep going outside. And some tracks have invisible bumps around the corners. It's like a rocky road but graphically looks flat and smooth. Otherr than that, it's pretty solid. I'm on PS5

99% of the haters dont have the skill and ability to master 1st person camera view. Game is gorgeous and physics are killer. My only wish is it supported VR.

I like the game so far.

I like how you really have to nail the jump sections. If not you lose a ton of time. Makes it almost a requirement to run qualifying so you can learn the proper lines. You can't just send it into a jump line and make it through. You have to actually time your jumps.
