I'm really interested in what kind of a salary + bonuses a mechanic like Carlos is able to make per year.

3 SX and 1 national with Dungey at KTM, 1 with Coop... I think that's right?

It doesn’t really matter how big a SX track you build. Riding these big hog 450s is like navigating a locomotive around the track.

Pretty sweet to see Carlos up there. I wouldn't mind more of that being mixed in.

I’m giving Ando a pass on that one. No way to re-enter the whoops safely. Accelerating was ok in that case IMO because of extensive time to re-enter. Either way judgment will be made and we’ll get an 11 pager out of it.

Webb is scary good but then again he trains at the factory.

That’s a level of maturity you rarely see. Props to you Ken. Big fan here!
Between the half-hearted fist bump and the neutered podium speech, I think Roczen has been advised to cool it with Webb lest he dig himself any deeper in an increasingly untenable feud

You mean instead of gassing it and jumping a tough block? All he had to do was turn left and enter the whoops

Not a good track for racing. I really dislike ‘rhythm’ lanes where everybody does the same thing.

I will say, apart from the first half of the race in the whoops where Coop was losing time, he was pretty much perfect everywhere else. Whatever issues they had with the air shock and the bike are a distant memory. Watching his bike vs Tomac's when they enter the ruts, it's so different. Coop's bike just pops in and is steady whereas Tomac's bike pops in but doesn't settle nearly as much. I think we are seeing that steel chassis effect when it's hard and slippy like these Arlington tracks.

Stadium is big but the floor is one of the smallest of all the stadiums to get the fans close to the field for football.

Webb is on the spring shock.

And what "extensive time to re-enter"? They said he turned the fastest segment of the race because of it.

Joke or not. He probably was fastest through the whoops, which doesn't indicate "extensive time to re-enter".

Your statement could be correct if he was pushed off the track in the whoops. He wasn’t. Riders down in the corner before the whoops. He jumped off track on his own accord.

AMA should dock Webb about 50 points, he'll still win and will make it more interesting. Feels like Villo running the 2

Boring 450 main as far as the top 3 go, but it's just because of how close in speed the top 3-4 are.
Until now, I was thinking that Tomac just wasn't as good or driven as he was last year, but I'm starting to rethink that. The difference may just be that Roczen is better this year than he was last year (maybe due to a more consistent, less tiring bike?), and that Webb is also better than he was last year (finer tuned, healthier, and with no crash/minor injury/setback during this season like the one he suffered in Dallas last year). Barcia is definitely faster and more consistent than last year as well (better team and a more dialed in, consistent bike).
Maybe Tomac hasn't slipped. Maybe it is that Webb, Roczen, and Barcia are just measurably better than last year, so even a dialed in Tomac MUST be on par with his starts for a legit shot at the 2021 title. His starts just havent been as good on average, tracks this year haven't seemed to suit him quite as much on average, and thus being 3rd in points right now is where even the best Tomac would be. Maybe Tomac is as good as ever, but his main competitors are genuinely better this year, and Cooper Webb is just that fucking scary narly.
Tomac seems to me like he still enjoys racing, wants to win, and thus he is still trying. The field is just stouter this year. No question about it.
