Ken is great with a big points lead but falls apart when it gets close. If Webb gets a big lead Ken will be great again. It’s in his head and Webb knows this.

Yeah Roczen is known for his 2nd half seasons to be lack luster. RC even mentioned it that is what Ken's weakness is

I think he is one of the best. But Ken races are a dice roll...you never know what it's going to roll when the gates drop. I love Kenny, watching him in 2016 outdoors was so freaking amazing

He certainly has had issues finishing the seasons in the past. Injuries have not helped his cause. Crazy big talent for real, just seems a little fragile on the mental end of things. Maybe he thinks about things too much and thinks his way into a funk. I don’t know, he looks great on a bike, has speed and seems like a decent guy. Look how long it took Eli to win one.

Ken is faltering as of late. Coop, not so much.
Starts, mid race moves, and finishes... one of these two have been better the last handful of Rounds.

Here is what I always say.
The mark of a true Champion is the ability to overcome adversity. Coop has been outstanding in this Arena.
Ken, and I totally get his injury scenario, but... it may be too much of a gap to overcome
My confidence in Ken is quickly going South.

Kapt Ken, please prove me wrong!

I think Cooper is still peaking and he only has to beat one guy for the title this time. I think he wraps it up early and I’m certainly not rooting for that. The writing just appears to be on the wall.

I don't know if Ken is still affected in the second halves like he used to be, but it used to be a big problem.

Roczen might be the fastest on one lap speed. But relatively speaking, he's not a very good racer. Too timid in traffic, too easy to bully around (Webb owns him by now). When he isn't allowed to check out and race the track as fast as he can, things go sideways for him.Then add the fact that he has always had mid season or end of the season dips in form. Webb is cruising to this title unless he gets hurt.

But i hope i'm wrong, it would be awesome if Roczen can bounce back but i just can't see it happening. This was such an important race after Daytona and it went almost as bad as it could.

Why do you guys keep saying roczen is faster? I do not understand.

Cooper had the faster lap in qualifying, and the faster lap in the main. He also won, he also is the current points leader, he also won a supercross championship.... soooo am I just missing something?

What’s your criteria for “best rider”? Kinda feel like the best guy is the guy who, you know....wins? Most naturally talented, maybe. But the “best” always was and will be the champion that season.

Yep the outdoors are more noticeable but yeah Ken has struggled in the 2nd half of the seasons...watch, when we go outdoors he will come out blazing fast and probably go 1-1 for the first 2 or 3 rounds and then he will taper off slowly

I'm not a Webb fan, but has to give it to him, if he is stuck mid-pack he will be top3 by the end of the race, seems like if KRoc is stuck, he might not climb too much. Is it risk awareness? I think I see same in Formula1. If racer X is stuck mid-pack he might stay there (even if he is among the fastest) but if Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen is mid-pack, they will usually be top3 by the end of the race.

Wonder what it is... someone values life a bit more, or some people have a certain DNA set that can make them shut out danger and negative thoughts more effectively than others.

On an empty track this 'mid-pack' guys might be silly fast. Not saying Kenny is, but today was not impressive, he could hardly keep up with the guys in front.

I see Webb as having the same characteristics of champions like Brady Jordan etc. When the pressure is on on the biggest stage in the world he's calm and has nerves of steel
