Alot of riders contracts seem to be up in 09, I have a feeling some good guys might end up with nothing if the teams are cutting back... does anyone have a list of the guiys who have contracts up at the end of the year?

I think Dungey is a free agent after this season.

Yep, I beleive Millsaps, Short, RV, Barcia and Stewart are all still under contract. Seems like just about everyone else's contract ends this season.

I also heard that KTM wants to keep Brayton. He seems like the only guy that can ride the pumpkins around pretty well..

I think you're correct in that they both signed 2-year contracts, but I highly doubt you will see them on those bikes next year.

I agree Dungey and Honda are a good fit. His persona screams Honda.

I hate to be all doom and gloom, but we are about to witness the end of the era of factory teams.. This is going to get ugly. Seriously.

Everyone is strapped for cash. Teams are folding. Plus, there are only a couple of guys capable of winning. No team is going to pay big bucks for a top guy, when the best that "top" guy can do is 5th or 6th.

The glory days are over and now we move into the era of the private teams, which in my opinion, is the best thing that can happen.

Level playing field!! Now we will get to see true potential in riders as companies can no longer support people.

Definately going to be a couple interesting champs in the next few years of motocross!

Things won't change as in level playing field as the big name riders will attract the big sponsor dollars thus buy all the good equipment mechanics R&D etc

Honda will probably take Dungey for 2010 and drop Tedesco.

Where will Ivan go for 2010? Any ideas?

Lucky for Millsaps he has another year, otherwise I don't think he'd get signed.

Is Broc Hepler coming back? Will Yamaha re-sign him? Like Jason Lawrence, Broc Hepler's never racing.
