I have an '82 YZ 100 that is almost done. Into buying cool stuff now. I have seen a couple of pics with 100s that had aluminum rear brake pedals. I have searched for days an have not seen another bike that had a pedal that would cross over. Has anyone heard of this or is it most likely another pedal that has been fabbed up?

In 1983, they changed them to aluminum on the YZ125. Can you embed a pic?

I actually wanted to see a pic of the yz100 with the aluminum pedal to see if it was off of an 83'. Here is what the 83' 125 pedal looks like:

I would contact Paul Johnstone at Johnstone Werks Racing. He is the man for YZ100 builds. He doesn't have a website, just a Facebook page. He builds absolute works of art. Full on Marty Tripes 100cc Revenge race bikes for fun play bikes.

https://www.facebook.com/Johnstone-Werks-Racing-539937832852232/

Dave Miller of DMC can build incredible YZ100 parts; Aluminum tanks, Boost Bottles, Aluminum Silencers, Cone Pipes. etc.

https://www.facebook.com/Dave-Miller-Concepts-137383096290268/

R&D Racing sells an incredible ignition system that puts out like 2-3 more HP. I don't think they list it for sale but it's available if you ask for it.

I would sell it. As far as new or original, I do not know. It came in a box of parts with my 100. It does not seem old. Rubber seems new but I do not know.

I sent a personal message to you about YZ100 parts. Didn't want to start a new thread just for my questions to you as it really didn't pertain to a general thread for everyone to respond to.
That's why i inquired about a form of contact, i.e. and email addy or phone number.
I'm friends with Marty and I've seen many of your bikes raced by the pro's at Diamond Dons.
Thank you.

Anyone ever try modern forks and triple clamp on this bike? I know you can put up to YZ490 forks and hubs on the bike in conjunction with an it175 swing arm. Just wondering if there is a compatible modern triple and forks that will work.

They were getting the aluminum brake pedals and shifters off of the 1985 yz125 for the 82/83 yz100s. Claims to save you 6 ounces of weight as well.
