Kinda late to be hoping for a replacement ride.

Based on their iG it looks like they are just play riding in the Hills? (sorry)

are they over it?

Josh had all the talent in the world to be a champ and just never could put in the work. He usually had RV covered on 80s up here.

Funny thing is, Justin was always known as the “grinder” of the two when they were coming up. The amount of laps he would do per day was stuff of legend. Funny how things change.

Probably what burnt him out so quickly

Them not racing just opens doors for other people to get good rides. People stay pro for too long these days *cough* Bogle

Almost exactly 3 years since Justin’s
Impressive 450SX ride in Tampa.

I think the teams are more over the Hill brothers than the Hill Brothers being over it.

I believe I heard that Justin had a contract from MCR, but after a lot of back and forth was told to not show up to the track again without a signed contract. Well, he showed up without a signed contract and they sent him packing. I'm guessing that's how Tickle got the ride. I could have misheard, so take this with a grain of salt.

If true, then In short it sounds like Justin had a ride, but couldn't agree on the terms of the contract. Sounds like he wasn't desperate for the money, so if he has the ability to walk away, then good for him.

Who knows what Josh could have achieved racing wise if not for that busted femur, he was showing promise until then. Either way things turned out pretty well for him.

It's hard to admire people who squander talent.

Who says he’s not grinding though? Are you with him every day?

He was good to start 2010, but he was 40lbs overweight on that factory Yamaha in 2008-2009

They actually look like they are having a lot of fun, so good on them. Justin just had a kid. Not saying taking time off in your prime is the best of ideas, but I took 8 months of work when I had my kid too which was the best decision I could have made for that time in my life.

Some of you guys sure seem bitter about things that literally have nothing to do with you.

Honda should have put Justin on Sextons bike!
Fun character, heat race winner potential.

Because what else is he going to do? Rap? I don't think that's going to pay the bills.

This is always the dumbest comment. You know you are on a forum right? Where the color of a riders boots could be discussed for a page and then have a 10 pager on a guy who wants to clean your boots. Some of you guys have a hard time grasping the idea of a forum.

That's kind of a cold reply to an honest question...

But, it does seem like both of the Hill brothers bought into their own hype. They are both classic wasted talent. I guess neither saw the reason to put in the work because some things came easy to them...maybe a case of ego versus truth. Superior genes gone down the drain.

Both have been signed by teams based on potential for money invested...and I guess they've been booted for not measuring up to those expectations or promises.

Sad deal, really especially when some other riders who might have been more appreciative of the opportunity, or willing to do what was necessary to be contenders got passed over because of them getting the nod.

Forums can also be a platform for sharing your opinions. I was stating mine.

Seems that the Hill Brothers aren't the only thing that you are bitter about.

After watching Justin on a Suzuki 450 the first time I thought it would be his break out moment and was really hoping he could run with it and get some wins and then be in the hunt for the championship, bummed it never lead to better results.

I don’t get why the hill boys get so much hate the guys truly love dirtbikes and Justin could still go out and wax every mcr rider.

At least Justin was capable of qualifying out of the heat races...

Pulling out of the night show because you don't feel well and being seen at a bar after the race is not a good look.

An MCR bike hasn’t even been top 10 this year. Do you really think that Tickle is working harder than Justin was?

As an anonymous poster here, I heard from sources that I can say that Justin took time off to build a house and take time with his new child. The plan is to come back next year with a year of 250 eligibility and rebuild himself.

But you just never know exactly what those two will do. Josh overall isn’t broke and is pretty well of financially, and Josh did extremely well with JGR, so essentially, they are just living life.

That’s what I think of every time. I hated that for JGR

Plus he seemed more interested in promoting his music than the sponsors that were paying him at the time
