I'm gutted for Dean because of his injury...but even moreso because he says in his post, he was not planning on making the race anyway. I'm pretty sure it was because of the stink that was piled on him about his situation last race. I've seen a lot of dirty riders do some very shitty stuff to other riders...but it blows over, and it is written off as just a "racing incident". This time, it was going to actually keep a top rider from even competing. It's like basically the "cancel culture" has reached our sport...where a rider is shut down (and perhaps even threatened) to where he's afraid to compete

That's absolute bullshit.

Best for Dean. I hope he recovers quickly and is back on the track soon.

What’s the protocol at the races, I know they are supposed to get there early for covid testing on Thursday right? Not sure how it’ll all work out for Deano but I hope he’s able to line up Saturday.
On Catanzaro's podcast Cade Clason was saying the protocol is a test within 7 days so if Deano got tested after the race last weekend then he'd be good to go. Cade was saying some mechanics got tested Sunday so they would not have to get tested again before Indy 1. Not 100% sure this is correct though, might be different if arriving to a new venue.

Pretty sure he's saying that -because of this crash- he thought he'd miss the race...but...he's gonna give it a shot.

That's how I read it as well.

Got hurt, wasn't planning on going, few days off, feels better, going to give it a shot.

If that's the case...I stand corrected. My bad. I guess my "skim reading" causes me to miss some things.Pinch

That toe is gnarly though. Hope he can get some shots, wedge it into a boot old school style...and at least grab some points.

Damn...
This is exactly the type of situation where the Tuesday race can really be an issue. If it was only Saturday he'd maybe be able to tough it out and then rest a full week. Now he can only rest two days and has to go again on Tuesday.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to tell you to kiss my ass, so that even you can easily interpret it.

C'mon fellas...if you've been around the sport more than a minute you know Dean Wilson is one of the good ones. No denying he had his head up his backside last week but I guarantee no one feels worse about it than he does. He knows exactly what he cost Kenny..he owned it and he can't fix it. Some folks gotta hate...it's just in 'em. I bet Kenny is still raw but I also reckon he won't hold a grudge for very long...cause it ain't in him. Heal up Deano...I had a worse place than that on my lip and kept right on whistling (my Grandpa used to tell me that when I whined about an injury).

Man I hope qualifies for the main gets a point/$ and DNFs to have rest. A sprained ankle, bruised knee bone and broken big toe is too much for 20 mins SX, even for a 5 mins heat ... I don't care what analgesic you take and how much adrenaline you have on Saturday there is still a race on Tuesday.

Just because you haven't heard about it doesn't mean he hasn't called Deano and talked about it with him....

Does he really need to be gutting it out? He’s a lapper.

So, you don't like him...is that it? Unsure

Sure, Deano gets lapped at times.
But, how'd he finish at the last SX last season? Grinning

Who-else got lapped last week?
Are you gonna call Marvin & Dylan "lappers"? Whistling

Now, while we're keeping the Keyboard Warriors in check: Dean finished 8th O/A in Supercross last year. Oh, and if you don't have a calendar...that was just 7 months ago; but, here you are talking shit.

I'm jus' sayin'...

If there was 3 gears (in use) in Barcia bike (missin gears 1 and 5) and he rode with his first one that is normally second. Does that mean their "neutral" is still between used 1 and 2 gears? And did Deano just hit normal neutral between 1 and 2 not between gears 3-4 so to say.

In the recent Pulp show they asked Deano if he used the air shock and he said that was never an option for him, he had no information about the shock.

That makes me think he doesn't have nearly the same options as most of the other factory KTM Group riders. So who knows what kind of transmission he gets to use, it could be something more standard than what is available to a guy like Barcia.

I think JT Motos post was humour???
Anyway that’s the way I read it and I laughed.

P.S. I don’t think of Wilson as a lapper and if that wasn’t humour, then not cool.

Well, if I didn't see the Sarchasm? My bad. Tho, after last weeks insanity..."a Sarc Warning" may be necessary. Cheerful

But, I still enjoyed thinking about & recalling DeanO's stats. Grinning
