Looking to get a definitive answer on this, I’ve seen digital ads talking about bringing the Monster can for free-entry to the pits like always, but I also read somewhere that this year a separate ticket for pit-entry is required.

Anyone have the 100% for sure answer?

Thanks!

JT$ said on PulpMX this week that it's $10 to get in the pits this year.

They're still letting fans into the pits?

I ended up paying the $10 just incase. Figure its well worth it if they don't do the can thing again.....

With a fraction of the fans allowed to be in attendance - if I were Feld, you better believe I'd be wanting a revenue stream from the Fanfest entries. $10 is very reasonable anyways

Went ahead and ordered mine. I think it makes sense, ticketing the fanfest allows them to have a set number of people they can cap it at.

I bought 5 and the last “seat number” of my tickets was 264 so I’m assuming that’s how many they’ve sold so far. Seems like a lot to let into the pits with covid going on. I’m fine with it personally I just worry for the riders, I don’t want to see a big name miss a few rounds and lose a shot at the title because of an exposure.

I don't think you're gonna find many of the riders milling about in the pits interacting with fans. I would expect most teams to have their "mudder" pit set ups with all the plastic etc. to limit exposure and contact.

It's my understanding that if anyone on the Team gets a positive test the whole team is out.

Has anyone bought any for Houston? I’ve heard they aren’t even having it this year.

Is that a teams decision or Feld? Is every team abiding by that rule? I thought I heard differently and that it was a certain teams decision to go that route to pull the whole team if there's one positive result.

Seems like I heard that on one of the Pulp podcasts. I could be wrong, please don't burn me at the stake if I am Wink

I'd hazard a guess the guy 2 posts above yours who said he bought 5 and is from Seabrook, TX probably bought his for Houston.

Had a buddy that was filling up fuel tanks out at shorts ranch this week. He said short said pits would be closed. Any higher ups in here got any information? I did read on the sx live website that you can only get in to watch qualifying with fan fest passes. Otherwise have to wait till 3:30. Maybe the fan fest won’t be actual pits like always?

uh, ok? never been called a "smuck" before... but I definitely squander $10 on much more trivial things than checking out factory level bikes in person.

Any info on Indy? I went to the Lucas Oil Stadium site and couldn’t find anything about the pits being open.

Edit: Fan fest is cancelled for 2021

I bought 3 for Houston Round 1. Just cause. Hell, I spend $85 on 5 gallons of T2. What's $30? Chump change compared to the airfare and car rental to come to Houston.

Anyone know if Houston pits are in or outdoors? We are from Oregon so either way it's far warmer and drier here. Wife wants to know.....

Outdoor as far as I'm aware. Supposed to get up to 60 tomorrow though. Should be pretty nice outside.

They will not. You have to purchase the fanfest ticket which is 10 bucks.

I paid the 10 bucks... I didn't see anybody with cans in their hand. The $10 was well worth it.
The guy at the gate on Sat and Tues, said "no cans please"...
Hope this helps!

Feld: entry into the pits $10 (probably cheaper than a can of monster)

The pits:

Any reviews on how the Pit Party/Fanfest has been? Is it worth going? I don't care about the ten bucks, but just wondering if it's worth taking the family all day or not? I will be there early to watch practice, but usually the family shows up a little later and I'm trying to figure out if they should just show up for the night show or not.

Is there anything going on or is it just closed off semis sitting around?

You have to have a fanfest ticket to get in the stadium early to watch qualifing this year.

We’re going to fanfest first time this year in Arlington…planning on arriving around 2pm. Is that early enough to make the most of it?

I would advise arriving earlier. Between watching practice, walking around the pits looking at bikes and talking to privateers, you have plenty to do.
