Great news for van horenbeek. Hope he wil get some good results. So no charlier than? Strange they let him test the bike

Charlier is signed with Beta for the Enduro GPs.
He just did Beta a favor with helping with some testing work.

We still could see Charlier showing up somewhere with a wildcard MXGP.

Amazing move by Beta for stepping up to the MX and straight into the MXGP! That deserve some credits!

Owned a Beta by myself and was pretty impressive with it, but that’s just hobby and Enduro.
Cant wait to see what they can do a MX track in the MXGP field. Interesting to follow.

Happy for JVH89 to, would hate to see him retiring that early. Hopefully everything works out fine. If the bike was really off the pace he wouldn’t have signed right?

Pretty sweet. A brand that has been around for an eternity but never proven itself in motocross. Very cool.

One of these days my brain will be able to differentiate between Beta and GasGas, for some reason on even on paper, the two seem the same. I have always just associated both brands to trials bikes and lumped them together for that reason.

It is rad Beta is officially entering MX, their bikes are works of art. Clean lines, fresh colors, good components. I hope they keep growing! (and stay independent of KTM).

Not exactly. Charlier could have ride for Beta in MXGP. He was fast during the testing sessions. But the conditions of the contract didnt suit him. He will do 3 MXGP races in 2021 as a wild card.

The late great Jim Pomeroy took a tour on the Beta.



The bikes still have the similar look to the late '70's models color wise. Still beautiful.

Yes- my old and foggy memory- remember there was a guy/ youngster who was really fast and raced National level here- think it may have been 1980 and had a Beta 125- recall he lapped the whole field- it was an exotic bike... wasn't many of them here. Then the watercooled era arrived, i.e RM's and took the mantle etc.

Damn super though they (Beta) are still going- wish the best for them and Van Horebeek is a super rider and has survived difficult times and bounced back- credit to him. Hope he can make Beta proud! Going to be rooting for him and Beta!

Absolutely! And were some good looking bikes in the day.

Really stoked for this effort, I hope they are all in and it isn't a half assed effort.

It's funny you would say that about the 200, I bought my youngest grandson a 200 that we had the suspension redone for moto. Everyone who has rode it on the track can't quit smiling, it's a hoot.

On Van Horebeek's Instagram he said he signed for two years, looks like all parties involved are fully committed to this project. I would think that if his results are anywhere near what he did in 2020 on the Honda, it would be considered a success, oh how I miss the USGP at Glen Helen.

Are the Beta mx 450 also equiped with the Ktm motors like the enduro models ? Cool to see another brand in mxgp.

Does anyone know why Motocross Action has completely ignored this announcement, along with the rolling out of the 300RX? They can't use the excuse that the 300RX is just an enduro without lights, because I can't remember how many KTM/Husky 300 TPI conversion projects they've done. Am I missing something, a new manufacture entering the motocross market should be news worthy to an all motocross publication, right?

Does anyone know why Motocross Action has completely ignored this announcement, along with the rolling out of the 300RX?
